After an accidental three year hiatus from Final Fantasy XVI I popped the disc in and picked up where I left off.

I don’t know why I stopped playing, likely something new and shiny distracted me, but I’m thoroughly enjoying the game. It’s bombastic, grumbly, and a solid Final Fantasy title.

Today Nell is six years old. That’s equal parts a lot of time, and simply not enough of it. She smells like warm popcorn and vanilla. Nell likes to sleep in the warm spots I leave behind on the sofa. She’s always up to mischief and thinks she’s sneaky (she’s not). Nell can tell the time at least twice a day, and she never forgets to tell me. Nell is loved.

Today is her birthday and I just wanted you to know.

Nell is the remedy for sorrow. She’s a four-legged superhero, and I’m grateful I get to show her love every day 🧡 by @hello.craigo

2025 was really tough. I make these videos every other year not to present life as it isn’t, but because I’ve always had the kind of brain that makes worry feel louder than everything else.

Noticing more helps me find balance: learning to hold grief, stress, and poor health in one hand, and warmth, light, and care in the other, and accepting that they all have a home in the family of things.

So here’s to another year reframed by my silly little video. A year where hard things happened, yes - but also many thousands of moments of joy. And most of all, here’s to another year of noticing them, and trusting they’ll keep finding me too 💫

Finished Halo: The Rubicon Protocol before kicking off my annual festive playthrough of Halo Infinite 🎄

I read this one with my AirPods in, following along with the audiobook - I think it’s my new favourite way to read (definitely the most expensive) 😅

I don’t read as much as I’d like, mostly because my neurospicy brain struggles to stay engaged. But reading whilst listening might just be the way forward 😇 by @hello.craigo

I was 9 years old when I fell in love with Halo.

Hard to believe it’s been 24 years since Halo: Combat Evolved first got its hooks in me.

Feeling nostalgic and so excited to revisit the campaign that started it all in 2026.
