Our hens have been very happy and laying like crazy. I’ve spent the last couple of years raising these chooks and we now have surplus eggs to sell.

$10 a dozen. Very limited supply.

We also have olive oil and big beautiful sourdough bread for sale.

We just need to mark this moment… the week I (“not a dog person”) got a doggo and have been LOVING IT.

I met some really well trained dogs this last year, and it opened up a whole new world for me!

Whilst we have the time and now we have the land, we have brought this little border collie baby into our lives.

Welcome to late winter, where the farm comes alive. The girls are starting to lay regularly again, the almonds are blossoming and the soil is soft.

These winter days always just feel like spring is already here.

I have so so many projects at the moment. The 100+ fruit tree orchard has to be planted this month! I want a larger daytime run for the chickens, I’m propagating LOTS of tomatoes and soon other veg to plant out and we get a new family member this weekend 😭 (who is going to take a bit lot of time).

Our wedding 😍 the 4th May!!
I’m feeling super loved up in life. This wedding day was sublime, but it is nothing compared to the every day moments with Dan my man. In a week or so I will go and pick up 70 fruit trees that we were gifted as wedding gifts! And by the end of the winter we will be planting our fruits of love orchard given to us in celebration of loooooove 🥰

We bought 10 acres of abandoned almond orchard. As far as we know it hasn’t been cared for for over 20 years! So Dan and I spend lots of time here together, cleaning up, caring for this land and preparing it to become our home 🥹

Almonds are an important part of this areas history, there is even an annual almond blossom festival. And as many of the orchards have been pulled out and replaced with vines, we are putting effort into salvaging as many as we can. We are pulling out so many of the wild olives 🫒 but keeping some big beautiful olive trees because they will definitely be out to use 👌 by @hello.jay.may
