Today is your birthday, my sweet love Ash.

I can write millions of books about my love for you. You have saved me and showed me so much love. You are that tiny, warm little thing I want with me at all times. I love all your cuddles, especially the ones before bed and when you wake up. I cherish every single moment, feeling, memory, and time with you.

We have fantastic memories together! We have been to the Glass House in CT, Rhode Island/Pride, New York, Dry Tortugas, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florence, Rome, Naples, Amalfi Coast. You even climbed a volcano with me! Let's not forget all the places I have sneaked you into because they "dont allow pets" like in the Japanese Gardens in WPB. LOL You have always been there! I am looking forward to more trips and memories with you. You are nothing but my greatest love and comfort. You are AMAZING, Ash.

THANK YOU for holding me after the event that had me down for a little while. You always showed up for me more than ever. For all of this and much more, I am forever grateful for your existence, your essence, and being. You have been such a great dog and friend since day 1. Your love is nothing but spectacular and perfect.

I usually travel for my birthday but this year I decided to stay home and explore the city that most people vacation to or wish to vacation to, Miami! We had no plans but to see where we end up. Our first stop was brunch and then we stopped by Design District and visited the Nader Sculpture park, displaying sculptures by Al Bahrani, Aurora Cañero, and Fernando Botero, amongst others.

We nearly passed out from heat exhaustion and dehydration so we left to grab some water and drive to downtown where we decided to ride the Metro Mover. Both Roccio and I grew up in Miami and used its public transportation to get around in our youth but neither of us had ridden the metro mover in over a decade and neither of us had ever ridden the entire loop! So we decided to hop on and got to sight see all of downtown Miami from the free metro mover. 💙

We finally got off in Bayfront park where we stopped to grab the world’s most expensive lemonade at a heaping $9.50 for ONE lemon, a half cup of sugar, a cup of ice and one of water. Talk about water with sugar and lemon essence (i told the man to squeeze another lemon in there because i’ll be damned🤨).

We ended the day trip riding the dragon at Bayside’s kid’s amusement park, which turned out to be one of my favorite moments of the day.

Exhausted, hot, and flabbergasted at the audacity of Bayside’s vendors, we walked back to our car and headed home to freshen up before my birthday dinner at night. My wife booked a reservation at Forte Dei Marmi (Rosalia’s favorite Miami restaurant) and it was the perfect way to end an eventful day. The food was like nothing i’ve ever tasted, the service more than I could’ve asked for, I felt like I was back in italy.

All in all, I felt like the queen I am. 10/10 best day ever. 💙✨
