When I first began building my vinyl record collection - at around 10-14 years of age - I particularly enjoyed double albums (more music!), live albums (great atmosphere!) and greatest hits (songs I already knew and loved!). The ‘cool’ punk and post punk stuff wouldn’t come along until a few years later, once I hit my mid to late teens (Pistols, Clash, Buzzcocks, Jam, Siouxsie, X-Ray Spex, Slits, PiL, Magazine… et al). I was never a ‘punk = year zero’ kinda collector (like so many of my peers), as far too much effort and enjoyment had already gone into amassing those few records I already owned. *I still possess and regularly spin all of these excellent LP’s. by @hello_goodbye_show
