My first IAMPETH… 🤍 Fair warning, this is a long one — although I tried. 😅

Beautiful Salt Lake City was the perfect backdrop for a week filled with learning, creating, reconnecting and making new friendships.

I loved volunteering, especially at registration — seeing everyone arrive with so much excitement and watching Janie welcome the newbies (me included!) with one of her hugs was such a sweet way to begin.

The days were long, but so worth it. I learned Roman Capitals with Hoang Dao, Stone Letter Cutting with Paul Herrera, Linocut Printmaking with Sarah Bogdal & Schin Loong, French Ronde with Marie Hornbeck, and Weaver Writing with Bill Kemp.

But as much as I loved the classes, the people made the week. Reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and forming real friendships with artists I’ve admired from afar for years filled my cup in a way I wasn’t expecting.

I came home tired, inspired, creatively full, and incredibly grateful.

One of the highlights of our time in Kyoto was learning calligraphy from Yuka Hibino, a fourth-generation master calligrapher and founder of Gallery Kiyora.✨

As someone who works with lettering every day, it was incredibly special to step into a different tradition and learn the beauty, discipline, and intention behind Japanese calligraphy.

As a true supporter, Mr. HAD came along for the experience and discovered his inner creative side right alongside me. ✨

Thank you, Yuka-san, for sharing your artistry, knowledge, and a small piece of your family’s legacy with us. Some souvenirs come home in a suitcase. Others stay with you forever. 🤍

A little different from my usual posts…

Most of the time, I share the finished pieces, the events, and the personalization work — but not often the space where it all begins.

As much as I love clean, minimal interiors, my studio tells a very different story. The walls, shelves, corners, and collected things are filled with memories — family, friends, travels, milestones, photographs, handwritten notes… little pieces of life that continue to inspire my work every day…and honestly, just makes me happy.

And this is me in my natural habitat. No makeup, hair undone, and my son behind the camera saying, “Just throw on a blazer.” 😂

These photos feel a little more personal, but also more honest. And I’m really grateful he captured this season of life and work the way it truly feels.

A rainy day ☔️in Seoul called for something slower… so we tucked ourselves into a quiet art studio in Insadong and learned Korean calligraphy from Jeongju.

There was something grounding about the brush strokes, the stillness, the intention behind every line.

We each chose a phrase that meant something to us
“Life goes on” and “Love Yourself.”

Simple words, but in that moment, they felt especially real. 🌧️✨

Live engraving metal flasks for High West Distillery in Tucson ✨

A little peek from last week at the Coyote Corral at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

The desert backdrop, glowing string lights, incredible vendors, and amazing food created such a beautiful atmosphere for the evening. A steady line of guests kept the engraving table busy all night.

These events always fly by — once the engraving starts, there’s rarely a moment to stop for photos.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to be part of the Netflix 🍿 Nobody Wants This Season 2 event — engraving necklace bars (spoiler: if you haven’t caught up yet, you’re missing out 😏).

A team of 10 incredible artists and calligraphers came together, beautifully organized by @createdbyqueena 💫 So much fun, so many beautiful moments!

What an incredible celebration honoring Rebecca & Michael — October 17, 2025 🤍 Their wedding day was filled with warmth, joy, and such genuine love, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it — engraving personalized glassware for their guests to take home as keepsakes.

The evening had such an elegant energy — soft lighting, joyful laughter, and guests who made every interaction feel so special.

A huge thank-you to Kori for assisting on-site — your presence and precision make every event run seamlessly.

What happens when you mix calligraphy’s flow with graffiti’s fire?
👉🏼Calli-graffiti! This is a new one for me! ✨

This activation brought that energy to the most unexpected place — floppy disks turned into miniature canvases, each bursting with color, movement, and personality. This was such a fun event and the guests brought the vibe to make it that much better!
