Anselm Kiefer doesn’t just paint history, he drops it on your head like a concrete ceiling. That suffocating, heavy-material scale is why I love him, and this time he’s taken over @palazzorealemilano with 38 giant canvases honoring forgotten female alchemists erased by time. It hits impossibly hard inside the Sala delle Cariatidi, where his raw aesthetic merges with WWII ruins left intentionally unrestored.

Truly one of the most powerful exhibitions to experience this year. 🤍🤍🤍

On view through September 27, 2026.

I’ve been obsessed with this place since I featured Marella Agnelli’s aesthetic for my book. I wanted to capture her sharp, timeless eye for collecting avant-garde paintings.
What used to be Fiat’s high-speed testing ground is now an open-air art oasis. Inside, the mood shifts to a roll call of masters: Matisse, Canaletto, Picasso, and Modigliani. This isn’t just a museum it’s a mood. 🤍 @pinacotecaagnelli #art
