It’s funny how a few simple prompts can tell you almost everything about a person.

I am… a single mom raising two incredible girls.

I do… pour into women and help them build brands and businesses that change their lives.

I like… long afternoons by the pool and outfits that are equal parts cozy and a little extra.

I love… music, travel, and a perfectly made espresso martini.

I still… believe in love, even after heartbreak. I still believe people are good. I still believe life gets softer when we choose to stay open.

And maybe that’s what this little corner of the internet really is.

Not a highlight reel.

Not a perfectly curated feed.

Just a collection of the things that make me… me.

The big feelings.
The ambition.
The healing.
The fashion.
The business lessons.
The stories.
The laughter.
The moments that remind us we’re all just figuring it out as we go.

So if you’re new here, hi. I’m Amber. 🤍

I’m really glad you’re here.

Now it’s your turn—tell me one thing:

✨ I am…
✨ I do…
✨ I like…
✨ I love…
✨ I still…

Last week humbled me.

But this week I’m reminded of how resilient I am!

I’m not shrinking my dreams, lowering my standards, or settling for the almost-version of anything.

If a bagel can have everything, so can I.

There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from being the person who’s always had to figure it out, and no one’s talking about it

And if I’m being completely honest… lately, I’m tired.

It’s been an emotional start to the month. I’ve been stretched thin professionally, pulled in a dozen directions personally, showing up for the people I love, handling what needs to be handled, meeting deadlines, solving problems and doing all the things life doesn’t stop requiring just because you’re having a hard day.

And lately, I can feel myself getting dangerously close to the edge. Like the tiniest thing could break me into a million pieces.

But then I think… who would pick me up? And I somehow I manage to keep it all together for just a little longer.

That’s the lonely part nobody really talks about.. Sometimes the people surrounding you are the very people you’re holding it together for.

So you cry in private.
Fix your face.
Answer the email.
Make dinner.
Show up.
Keep going.
All with a smile on your face.

But somewhere along the way, you realize that being capable has turned into believing you have to carry everything yourself.

In this season though, I’m learning that I don’t. And that lesson has been so much harder than I ever thought it would be. The thing is, trust is hard when independence has kept you safe for so long.

It’s actually crazy how you can genuinely have someone standing beside you saying, “Let me carry some of this,” and still instinctively tighten your grip. Crazy because that instinct creates problems. I’m learning that too.

So be patient with the woman who used to carrying it all. Be gentle with her when she struggles to put something down.
Understand that receiving help might actually require more vulnerability from her than giving help it ever did. She’s unlearning years of believing that if she doesn’t hold everything together, everything falls apart.

She doesn’t need you to save her. She just needs enough safety to finally believe she doesn’t always have to save herself. Know that she’s trying… she’s strong but she’s not perfect.

Give her that and I promise you… she’s taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @helloamberrobinson

There is a past version of me that would be so proud of this life.

Not because everything turned out the way I planned.

It didn’t.

There were losses I never saw coming. Grief I never wanted to carry. Relationships I believed would last forever that became chapters instead.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped measuring a rich life by what I owned and started measuring it by what I had become.

Today, rich looks like gratitude.

It looks like healthy daughters, meaningful work, friendships that feel like home, laughter that comes easily, peace I had to fight for, and the freedom to be fully myself without shrinking to fit inside someone else’s comfort zone.

The older I get, the more I realize that some of life’s greatest gifts arrive disguised as detours.

I’m thankful for the life I have—not because it’s perfect, but because it’s mine.

And I think the younger version of me would be pretty proud of the woman she grew up to become.

Maybe that’s the richest kind of life there is. 🤍 taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @helloamberrobinson

From the moment they placed you in my arms, you became the greatest privilege of my life.

Today you turn 12, and somehow every year I become more in awe of the person you’re growing into.

You’ve seen me at my strongest… and you’ve loved me through my weakest. You’ve celebrated the biggest wins with me and quietly held my hand through the hardest chapters. There are parts of my story you were never meant to carry, but somehow your love made them lighter anyway.

You have been my sunshine on days I couldn’t find my own.

People tell me all the time that you’re “just like your mama,” and every time I smile because I know the truth.

You are.

But you’re also everything I hope I would’ve been if I’d known then what you already seem to know now.

You’re kinder.
Braver.
More compassionate.
More thoughtful.
More forgiving.

You’re me… only a thousand times better.

Watching you become yourself has been one of the greatest honors of my life. You remind me every day that softness isn’t weakness, curiosity is a superpower, and loving people well is always worth it.

My heart has lived outside my body for the last 12 years, and it has your laugh, your smile, your stubborn streak, your enormous heart, and your beautiful soul.

No matter how tall you grow, how independent you become, or where life takes you, you’ll always be my baby girl.

Thank you for choosing me to be your mom. I would choose you in every lifetime.

Happy Birthday, Avery.

The world is so much brighter because you’re in it. 💛 taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @helloamberrobinson

Daddy, I’ve been thinking a lot about grief lately.

People always say time heals. And I think they’re right... at least in part. Time softens the sharp edges. It teaches us how to laugh again. How to celebrate again. How to keep living.

But no one talks about what time quietly takes in return. With every passing year, it becomes a little harder for me to remember the exact sound of your voice. The way your laugh filled a room. The way you smelled when you hugged me. The exact words you would’ve said when I called to tell you something exciting... or when I needed advice that only my daddy could give.

That’s the cruel irony of grief. Time hasn’t just taught me how to live without you. It has slowly asked me to remember you with less to remember.

And somehow, that’s its own kind of heartbreak.

I’ve lived so life since you left. I’m raised two beautiful girls who I know would’ve had you wrapped around their fingers. The cancer is gone, and so is my marriage…but I’m ok. I’ve survived things I never imagined I’d survive.I’ve started over more than once. But guess what dad… I’ve found joy again.

And through every milestone, every hard season, and every victory... I still find myself reaching for the phone. I still want to tell you the good news first. I still want your advice. I still want to hear you tell me it’s all going to be okay.

Sometimes I wonder what you’d think about the life I’ve built. I wonder if you’d laugh at the stories I have to tell and what you’d say if you could see the woman I’ve become.

And then I remember... You spent your whole life teaching me how to become her. Your kindness still guides me. Your integrity still challenges me. Your love still comforts me. Your belief in me still carries me.

So instead of wondering if you’d be proud...I choose to believe you are.

Happy Birthday, Daddy. I miss you every single day. And while time may slowly blur the details, it will never diminish the love.

Don’t get so busy recovering from what broke you that you forget to invest in what helped put you back together.

Healing isn’t just about creating distance from the people who hurt you.

It’s also about getting closer to the people who loved you well.

Call them. Thank them. Choose them back.

The people who did right by you deserve your energy, too. 💛 by @helloamberrobinson

New week. New opportunities. Same woman... just with a few more chances to surprise herself.

Before you get caught up in everyone else’s expectations this week, take a minute to remember your own.

Swipe through.
Take what you need.
Leave the rest.

Happy Monday, friend. 💛 taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @helloamberrobinson

This week was heavy.

I was coming off a 67-hour work week, trying to wrap up a big launch, onboard new students, and make sure nothing slipped through the cracks.

I don’t say that for sympathy.

I say it because this week reminded me that the smallest acts of care can completely change the weight someone is carrying.

Sometimes filling someone’s cup doesn’t require a grand gesture.

Sometimes it just requires noticing.

One lunch.

That’s all it was.

Someone I matter to noticed I hadn’t slowed down all day, showed up with food, and never once made me feel like I owed them anything in return.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about being seen.

Especially when you’re the kind of person who’s usually doing the noticing for everyone else.

If you know me, you know I’ll choose FaceTime over a phone call every single time.

Sometimes all it takes is seeing one of your favorite people smiling back at you to remember you’re not carrying life alone.

Distance disappears when someone makes the effort to show up.

Nobody likes making mistakes.

But this week someone pointed out one of mine…

…and in the very next breath reminded me that I was doing a great job.

We all need people who can correct us without making us question our worth.

If you’re raising preteens, you know cuddles aren’t exactly guaranteed anymore.

So when my girls asked if they could crawl into bed with me…

everything else faded into the background.

Nothing fills my cup quite like being trusted with their safe place.

I’m a yapper.

But effortless conversation?

That’s rare.

This week I spent over two hours on the phone for no reason other than enjoying the conversation.

No agenda.

No work.

No asking for anything.

Just making me feel like I was worth the time.

Voice notes are one of my favorite forms of communication.

No pressure to answer immediately.

No expectation that you’re free right this second.

Just little pieces of someone showing up when they have the capacity.

I think that’s why they mean so much to me.

They say,

“I’m thinking about you… whenever you have room for me.”💛

This week reminded me of something I’ll probably spend the rest of my life learning.

Becoming a mom was a dream come true.

What I never imagined was that one day, choosing my own happiness might also mean raising my girls on my own.

That realization scared me more than I can put into words.

Not because I doubted my ability to be their mom…

But because I was terrified of letting them down.

For a long time, I carried the guilt of believing that choosing peace somehow meant giving them less.

Now I know this:

My daughters didn’t need a mother who stayed unhappy to preserve the picture of a family.

They needed a mother who showed them what courage, self-respect, and real happiness look like.

So if you’re carrying that same guilt today…

Look at you.

You’re loving them.
You’re showing up.
You’re doing the best you can.

And I have a feeling they’re going to grow up incredibly proud of the woman who taught them that choosing yourself isn’t the same as choosing against them.

Send this to a mom who is crushing it at living her life outloud. I promise she needs to hear this today 💛 taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @helloamberrobinson
