📺 Apple’s original Apple TV 4K is officially VINTAGE!

Launched in September 2017, the first-generation Apple TV 4K brought 4K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision to Apple’s streaming box for the first time.

But it was also an important device for Apple Home, acting as a home hub for remote access and automations.

Nine years later, Apple has added it to its vintage products list.

That doesn’t mean it will stop working, but hardware repairs are now subject to parts availability.

With Apple potentially unveiling a new Apple TV next week, the timing is certainly interesting! 👀

Are you still using the original Apple TV 4K?

Apple’s ‘Welcome Home’ Event – My Wildcard Prediction!

What if Apple brings back AirPort, but not as we know it?

Imagine the new Apple smart home display featuring a built-in Wi-Fi router, with the second-generation HomePod mini acting as a wireless mesh repeater.

Suddenly, Apple wouldn’t just be controlling your smart home. It could be powering the network behind it, too.

It’s a long shot, but imagine an Apple-powered mesh network built around your HomePods and smart home hub!

Would you welcome the return of AirPort?

If Apple unveils the second-generation HomePod mini at its October 13 event, it will be exactly six years to the day since the original HomePod mini was announced on October 13, 2020, during Apple’s “Hi, Speed” event.

Six years without a hardware refresh is a long time, especially in the world of technology.

Could Apple be about to give one of its most popular smart home products a long-overdue upgrade? 👀🏠🍎

🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL! APPLE SAYS “WELCOME HOME” 🏠🍎

Apple has officially announced a special event for Tuesday, October 13, with the tagline “Welcome home.”

And I think we all know what this could mean!

After years of relatively small updates, Apple could be preparing its biggest smart home announcement in over a decade.

So, what could we see?

🏠 Apple HomePad – An entirely new smart home hub featuring a touchscreen, Siri AI, smart home controls and a new interface.

🔊 HomePod mini 2 – A long-overdue refresh with improved performance, new colours and a more intelligent Siri.

📺 Apple TV 4K – Updated hardware, a faster processor and deeper integration with Apple Intelligence.

🔐 New smart home accessories – Recent reports suggest Apple has been working with LG on smart locks, cameras, video doorbells and thermostats.

✨ A new era for Apple Home? – Potentially a major overhaul of the platform, bringing smarter automations, more powerful Siri controls and deeper integration across the home.

Of course, Apple hasn’t confirmed any of these products just yet, but the invitation couldn’t be much clearer.

I’ve been covering Apple Home for years, and this genuinely feels like the moment we’ve been waiting for.

October 13 could mark the beginning of an entirely new chapter for Apple Home.

What are you most excited to see? 👀
