Lake Champlain’s water level is sitting low & Law Island is just a short ride off the Island Line Trail 🚲🍁

We spent the day with @ramblexroam seeing our region from a two wheel perspective. Biking to an island was a first for us!

🍁 The lake holds onto its warmth, so the leaves by the water change later than the rest of the state. Still plenty of leaf peeping to be done along the shore.

Once the water comes back up, it’s boats only again 👀

Whichever one you pick, come prepared. Bring layers for the top (it’s always colder up there), pack more water than you think you need, and follow Leave No Trace principles so these trails stay this good 🥾

Some big love for our little city across the river.

Travel + Leisure @travelandleisure just spotlighted Winooski and we could not agree more 🌟 Vermont’s smallest city by area, barely a square mile, and packed with some of the best food, records, and river views around💧
