Always a favourite, the annual reflection.

2025 - the year that almost broke me with an emergency spinal surgery.

But...also the year I progressed with my ink drawings and painting practice.

Where creating art from nature felt so grounding and intuitive for me.

Where being in nature continued to feel healing and necessary.

Where I've paused, where I'm holding steady to see what comes next. I wonder what 2026 might have in store for me and Hello Crow Designs.

Discarded banksia stem caught my eye - was practically shouting "I'm a nature brush' so home it came.

Sunday morn paint session while it's still fairly fresh. Probably should stop now as there's no more space left on the table. Feel I've got some creative, expressive energy out of my system if nothing else.

All fodder for a future, beautifully imperfect, nature inspired calming pattern design for licensing....or something else. ✨️

Took my hazy abstract watercolour and popped it on a phone cover.

Now every time I pick up my phone I'm reminded that the alternative is picking up a paintbrush or stepping out in nature, to be inspired by an ever changing landscape. Simple.

Trying out some exciting new compressed charcoal from the UK on an existing watercolour painting.
