I so rarely have a roast dinner out because I feel like they’re hard to get right but I just had a great one.

I was invited to @figurati_southampton to try out their Sunday roast. I had been recently for dinner which was delicious so I had high hopes.

I went years ago but I have to say they’ve continued improving and the roast was absolutely delicious. We had the roast beef and roast lamb which were both so good. A good selection of veg including heavenly cauliflower cheese. We ordered the pigs in blankets as it felt wrong to skip them. My only suggestion would be more gravy but I should have asked for extra.

We had same great drinks including the mai thai mocktail and keep watching to see our desserts which were the perfect way to end the meal. The strawberry tart was too pretty to eat and the chocolate bombe was a special so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try it.

The staff were wonderful as always and gave us great recommendations.

I recently visited @thedeck.emsworth for the first time in Portsmouth and what a hidden gem it is.

Tucked away in Emsworth Harbour, it has marina views and such friendly staff. They serve food in the day but at weekends they often have live music and street food. We had the pleasure of trying out @fatjacksshack. The beef brisket baps were delicious and the mac and cheese was out of this world (swipe for photos).

We had pimms and gin and tonics and there was a great selection of drinks.

I finally made it to @ethos.coffee in Havant for brunch. I’ve seen so many people raving about this place and they weren’t wrong.

We had the truffle and parmesan hash brown with a side of avocado and the smashed avocado. Great service and a strong menu (scroll to see). Good value for money too.

Craving a great breakfast or brunch in Hampshire? Check out this three spots which never disappoint…,

1. Babelas, Lymington - An incredible independent serving up delicious dishes. Tasty iced coffee and their Cape Town eggs are legendary. @babelascafe

2. Headlands Farm, Romsey - One I don’t often see spoken about but super tasty food and a lovely team. @headlands_farm.

3. Cherrywood Kitchen in Southampton City Centre - We were really impressed. The Turkish eggs were perfect and my friend loved the eggs Benedict. Don’t skip this one. @cherrywood_kitchen.

Looking for a fun day out in Hampshire, a unique date idea or something different to do with a friend? 👀💥

We discovered the perfect activity for letting off steam at @down_range_at in Gosport and we had so much fun!

First up was the rage room, where you get 30 minutes to smash, break and destroy your frustrations away! 🧱🔨 You can choose the items you want to smash (or even bring your own) and pick from a range of tools to cause some serious damage. The best part? You can choose your own music to smash along to! 🎶

Next, we gave axe throwing a go. 🪓 There are two different options to try, and you can alternate between them. It definitely takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it, but we were getting better with every throw.

If you’re looking for unusual date ideas, fun activities with friends or an alternative day out in Hampshire, I’d highly recommend giving this a go. It’s a brilliant way to try something new, have a laugh and let off a little steam!

How have I never found this place before?! This is one Hampshire café you need to add to your list. And swipe to the end for a little money-off surprise!

📍 Kiki T’s at Number One, Liphook is a gorgeous hidden gem tucked away in this lovely Hampshire village, making it the perfect stop while exploring the local area. It’s also right opposite The Living Room Cinema, so why not make a day of it?

We tried the goat’s cheese toastie and the ham & caramelised onion chutney toastie, both served on delicious sourdough, alongside a hot chocolate and an iced coffee that was DIVINE 😍. The milkshakes looked incredible too, so I’ll definitely be back to try one!

There’s a lovely outdoor seating area for sunnier days, plus a cosy little snug with sofas for when you fancy curling up with a coffee. ☕️

And if you love their coffee as much as we did, they offer a coffee subscription so you can enjoy that quality flavour at home, with whole beans or ground coffee to choose from. Even better, use HELLOHAMPSHIRE10 for 10% off your first 3 months. 🤎

We even got chatting to some locals who told us how much they love having this little gem on their doorstep. Always a good sign!

Definitely one to add to your Hampshire café bucket list.

I was recently invited to visit @puppypilatespoole to try out puppy Pilates and I’m still not over it 😭 🐶. Swipe to see all the gorgeous pups.

Having lovely puppy cuddles is such good self care and an experience I’d highly recommend. They have regular seasons with different puppies and even offer bunny Pilates 🐰.

It was such a fun afternoon out with my friend and the perfect activity.

All info is on their page. Send this to someone who needs to come with you.

I still can’t get over this place. I was recently invited to try out @rockfreshwaterbay at @albionfreshwater and it was incredible. It’s a great spot for lunch or dinner and you can see why it’s so popular.

Starters: Crispy chicken and Isle of Wight tomatoes with goats cheese
Mains: Pesto gnocchi and fish and chips
Desserts: Raspberry pavlova and chocolate delice

The views are breathtaking but the food alone is enough to make the trip across to the Isle of Wight. We also had an aperol spritz and a pornstar martini which were delicious.

I think I’ve found my favourite pub garden for families.

I recently visited and they have so much for the kids including an inflatable pillow, go karts, a bouncy castle, a climbing frame, slides, a sand pit and an ice cream and donut cabin 🍩 🤤.

The Fighting Cocks is in Arreton on the Isle of Wight. It has a great pub garden where the kids can play happily for hours. We had the freshly made mini doughnuts but the other food also looked delicious.

I cannot put into words how much joy this brought me. 🥹🐶

I was invited to Poole in Dorset to try out the new Puppy Pilates class at @puppypilatespoole and it was every bit as magical as you’d expect.

A little movement, a LOT of puppy cuddles and quite possibly the happiest workout I’ve ever done. 🧘‍♀️🐾

The instructor was brilliant, leading us through the session while we were free to interact with the gorgeous Cockapoo puppies. A beautiful black pup even decided I was the perfect place for a nap. 🥹 Needless to say, I didn’t move.

They run regular sessions with different puppies and even offer Bunny Pilates 🐰 alongside their other classes.

If you’re looking for something a little different and a guaranteed dose of endorphins, definitely check out their website for upcoming classes or get in touch to join the list for the next Puppy Pilates session.

My kids asked if I could sneak one of the puppies home in my bag and by the end, I was very tempted. 😅

I’ve driven past this place so many times and never realised what was hiding inside! 👀

I was recently invited to visit @brickworks_lounge_grill at the voco Hotel in Fareham, and I was genuinely surprised by how beautiful it is. The décor is gorgeous, there’s a lovely outdoor seating area, and somehow I’d never even noticed this was here!

We started with the crispy chicken, halloumi fries and prawn Thermidor, followed by the lasagna and buttermilk chicken burger. Then came dessert… the chocolate bombe and crème brûlée. 🤤

It’s always a good feeling discovering somewhere new on your doorstep, and I’m so glad I finally found Brickworks. I’ll definitely be back!

I cannot rave about this meal enough and the views are incredible!

I was invited across to @rockfreshwaterbay at the @albionfreshwater for lunch and my friend and I were blown away.

We started with the Isle of Wight tomatoes with goat’s cheese and the crispy chicken, both were absolutely delicious. For mains, I went for the pesto chicken gnocchi, while my friend opted for the fish and chips. And, despite being very full, we just about managed to squeeze in dessert because we couldn’t resist trying the raspberry roulade and chocolate delice. 🍓🍫

The quality of the ingredients and the cooking was fantastic, with lots of brilliant Isle of Wight produce featured throughout the menu. The interiors are beautiful, but it was the views of Freshwater Bay that really stole the show.
This is well worth taking a trip across the Solent for an Isle of Wight adventure. Whether you’re heading across for the day or taking a short break, you really need to add this to your list.
