Things I've seen, made, worn & smelt over the last little while 🌼 Daily dress ups because customising your avatar each day is fun The shimmery petals! The orange cups! The frills! My lovely angel friends and I at our Sunday Swap! Film wizard @film_by_lizey snapped this! The Sunday Swap table bounty! Ermggggg winter was a goodie. My favourite view. Ever. Ever ever everrrrrrr!!! I've been a @projektityyny frother for years and I finally bit the bullet & purchased my own. I still can't believe this is in my home. I wish you could all see this quilt in person. The craftsmanship is just surreal to see with my eyes. Having made quilts now myself, I realise just how much effort goes into something like this. Grateful to own this is an understatement! Heirloom for life! An impulsive choice to paint my spice shelf turned out pretty pretty prettttty good. @hermoonface, @tiarniebrasher & I started out quilting journey in Feb & we managed to have a cuddle puddle with said quilts in person! How cute are they! Love letters from Billie! Snagged this dream basket today & filled it with my very own handmade pottery. Chuffed. If spring was a smell, it'd be freesias! Gosh they smell like honey ahhh heavenly! A blue and yellow moment in @oakmeadowclothing and @helsastudio 🩵💛 As a part of my year of learning, I'm spending September doing embroidery! I wanted to learn to chain stitch lettering, so figured I'd give it a go on a doily. My favourite Bon Iver lyrics from the latest album. This line just makes me feel soooo at peace. Pieces of Autumn 🫖 This month I've been learning to knit, which has been challenging at times, but really lovely as I finally get my groove with tension and the rhythm! A reminder that it's okay not to get the hang of everything on the first go...also a reminder of why I am dedicating this year to learning new skills. I also finished my quilt...to lay under something you've made by hand is such a special experience - I hope this keeps my grandchildren warm someday too. I couldn't be happier with the result of two months works! Hmm what else...I'm reading a few books at the moment....one that I have almost finished is "Raising Hare" by Chloe Dalton ~ I absolutely love this book. It's such a gentle read. I am also loving "The Glorious Life of the Oak" by John Lewis-Stempel. Oh, also I am a few chapters into "Rites of the Starling". So many books for my winter hibernation! Any recommendations are welcome. My favourite willows are slowly starting to shift into their yellow hue as deep autumn arrives & the oaks are surrounded by a sea of acorns. Lots of which I have planted and hope to have some seedlings in spring if they work! I also found my first mushrooms of the season (delicious) & have been soaking up the last of the dahlias & roses. I recently planted 300 bulbs in the garden for spring so I pray I have success with them. Seeing bluebells woodlands through the UK has me itching for spring already. I have been listening to a lot of James Blake's new album and my "like reaching for stardust" playlist, in particular I've been loving Hania Rani ~ highly recommend if you enjoy piano 🤎 Hmm I think that's all I fee like saying...love yas 🦦 by @hellojadephoenix
