2025 Steadi Reel
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I began learning steadi in 2022
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Steadi reshaped the way I interpret cinematograohy, and it's one of the most important decisions Ive made throughout my career. I wish everyone can experience operating it at least once.

2025 DP Reel

Stepped back from mainly dp'ing for a few years. In that time, however, I was lucky to have experienced such rich and informative technical roles within the camera department. 2025 was a year of relearning fundamentals and the behavior of light. Looking forward to applying everything I've learned to 2026.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These are selects from the few DP roles I tackled since 2022
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you to my gaffers, grips, PD, set decs, AC's and more who make the image happen 🫰🏻 #losangeles #directorofphotography #dp #film #cinematography taken in Los Angeles, California by @hellojohnkim

📸: @andyhchung

Been a sadboi for a long time, but with the new year and new beginnings it’s time for me to enter my sadman era
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9 years ago I decided to quit school and go all into videography and eventually the film industry. There were numerous times when I wanted to quit. But in 2025 I was finally able to say that it was worth it. Despite the broken relationships, dumb ass run of shows, egotistic directors, and Teradeks, it was worth it. Friends whom I love are in my life because I chose this risk. And I’d do it over again.

Some memorable projects throughout the years since 2015. Thank you to all friends and clients from close and afar for sharing spaces with me 🩶 by @hellojohnkim

Thank you for the love and thoughtful messages on this project
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although through questionable means, we put so much thought into the world, lighting, and characters. Filmmaking is definitely our generations 6th love language
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Shot on Komodo, Nisi Athenas, and Lomo sphericals, I think lol
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ #traviscott #telekinesis #shortfilm #musicvideo #filmmaking taken in Los Angeles, California by @hellojohnkim
