So proud of the @target #beautystudio shoot I directed with my fwiend @emilyreile - this shoot came out of nowhere and we pulled it together at light speed. Aside from working with a true blue friend and excellent creative (Emily) this shoot was feel good because the Target team trusted me with an important launch and a challenging production time. Hearing that I’m that kinda partner means a lot to me.

That being said, I had such a wonderful team and it was a real treat to be reunited with @maddytalias again. Thank you @crawfordandcoproductions for being so stellar - couldn’t have done it without you.

Grid studies from my Groups session this spring while I wait for new work to come out. Above all, I shoot on film because I’m scared the digital age could go away. This way I’d have something left over to hold onto. Big love to all the beautiful people who helped me on this shoot 🌞

Oh hey there. I just need to put this out in the world because I have this convo on set A LOT :
I get hired to do some hard-ass projects… big builds….brain bending problem solving…. But did it ever occur to anyone that maybe I’d like to chill out on a grey seamless every once in a while? You don’t have to save the bodacious stuff for me! Maybe call me for that mellow single-lighting-set up I keep hearing about. Jeez. 🤣 Also - I’m working independently now - so if you need me - hit me up direct! 🌞💘 by @hellojuliajohnson

Very cool #BTS captured by my homie @ericlongden from our @johnnyknoxville @newyorkermag shoot. I was surprised that Johnny was so into Polaroids and asked to take my portrait a couple of times. Needless to say - I was super charmed. All of my most favorite projects start with some very crude drawings like the ones on slides 4, 6 & 7…. It’s usually how I can tell it will work out. If I feel like actually drawing it, it could be cool. And I always love getting studio progress texts from my man @youngbabydane - it’s thrilling. Still floating around on cloud nine from this amazing assignment. Thank you again @staceypictures! Super stoked! by @hellojuliajohnson

So stoked to share this portrait session of the legendary @johnnyknoxville shot for the @newyorkermag - what an honor! Thank you so much @staceypictures for thinking of me for this super fun assignment! I loved it.
@youngbabydane hand painted all the sets entirely inspired by Looney Tunes. Stacey informed me that a few of Johnny’s more famous stunts were direct references from Looney Tunes, so we leaned into it. @bucket.biz kept us all company on set which we adored.
I was really excited to work with @atvottero who’s work I really respect. Thank you for being so open to playing with me and for for pushing Johnny into his “Colonel Sanders” look which fucking ruled. No fuss Grooming by @sydneysollod who was so mellow on set.
As always - so grateful to my photo team who always has my back @onthedaystudios @geekoutjacob @nikwilliamsphoto

If I could photograph @arrowdewilde forever I would. She is one of the most incredible subjects EVER. I shot her this spring for @graziausa_ and I’m still holding onto selects of her - I love this subject. Arrow - call me if you wanna mess around with a camera again. Anytime.
@karenlevittstylist put these @marcjacobs panties on her
@hairbyashleyh did that purple hair
@nathanhejl smeared her green eye
@rowanproductions held it all together
@onthedaystudios brought the lights and @nikwilliamsphoto helped us too

I saw @chrisflemingfleming ‘s @hbomax special this spring and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from my screen. Chris is in constant motion on stage. In his Capezios he’s like a tweaked out dancer - and it really called to me.
I didn’t entirely know what might come of a cold-ass DM - but I made a mood board and earnestly shared my vision for a shoot together and Chris magically obliged. My friends and peers who know me well said our collab is a match made in heaven and it made me feel validated for going out on this limb. Trying something new with these grids because Chris had so much movement to capture.
It was a special day on set with a real special guy. Thank you Chris, you are a dream.
Also, thank you to @carlacsperez for grooming our guy. And thank you to my #1 homies @geekoutjacob and @philblairphoto for always having my back.

@shaniatwain for @thetimes shot at the @petitermitagehotel in West Hollywood. I have to say - I was shook after photographing this absolute Diva…her energy was so powerful. I grew up listening to my mom belt this woman’s songs in the car and in the living room after dark. The complexity of Shania’s music is unparalleled and the fact is, this artist has banger after banger on the most impressive level. I felt really lucky to photograph her. She was so giving and so vivacious and the session was really lovely and intimate.

#CocoGranderson the teen CEO heading up @yesdayworld photographed with her mother @daniellegranderson for @thetimes in Los Angeles. Kids are doing it so different these days… when I was 14 I did not carry myself this way AT ALL! Who will Coco be when she’s 40?
