Yesterday I had the opportunity to cook at the @thepandoinitiative Cooking For A Cause Event. As a whole we all raised over $190k for our students here in Wichita! I competed against more than 30 local chefs and Won best savory dish of the night. It truly means a lot seeing everyone enjoy and love the food I create but also come together as a community giving back to the kids that are our future! Thank you to my amazing mom and grandma for these recipes, my food wouldn’t taste good at all if it wasn’t for them! Thank you & S/O to my beautiful Sous Chef for hanging in there and helping me I love you! ALL GAS NO BREAKS! 🔥💪🏾🤞🏾🥳 taken in Kansas Star Casino by @hellomeloswangz

To every vendor, sponsor, volunteer, and community partner who has supported Untamed Athletes, we appreciate every single one of you.

You’ve given your time, invested in our youth, shared our work, and shown up when we needed you.

That support helps us create more opportunities for the young people we serve here in Wichita.

Thank you for trusting what we’re building and being part of it.

What I love covering and highlighting are the people who do good for our community and don’t seek out the attention. Grassroots efforts, organically built and driven by the silent heroes you barely hear of in the mainstream.

I came across a gentleman named Wody who has been part of an effort feeding people, bringing others together to hang out twice a week to hoop and create a community like old times. Sometimes free shoes are given away, other times free hot dogs, maybe it’s free pizza.

But it’s always togetherness.

THIS is special.

Tonight shout out to @hellomeloswangz and @snoyo2022 for making the feed possible. taken in Wichita, Kansas by @hellomeloswangz
