A little Melbourne city escape with dreamy skyline views! 🩷🏙️

My stay at @urbanintheskymelb was such a lovely experience and the perfect little getaway, whether you’re a local planning a staycation or visiting Melbourne from interstate or overseas.

One of my favourite things was the fantastic location, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD and within walking distance of Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Central, shopping and so many city attractions. I loved being able to explore throughout the day and even walk to my hair salon nearby! It’s such a convenient base for making the most of Melbourne, especially if you’re visiting for the first time.

The beautiful skyline views were definitely a highlight, giving the stay that special big-city feeling from day to night. The comfortable apartment-style accommodation also made it feel like a little home away from home, perfect for relaxing between adventures.

One of the biggest highlights was the incredible facilities, which made the stay feel like a little luxury escape in the heart of Melbourne! Having access to a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym makes it so easy to balance exploring the city with a little self-care. I also love the idea of unwinding in the wellness facilities after a day of shopping and sightseeing, then enjoying the beautiful city views. It adds such a special touch to a staycation and makes it an appealing option for international visitors wanting to experience Melbourne in comfort and style.

A special mention to the lovely team, who were so welcoming, kind and helpful throughout my visit.

Whether you’re exploring Melbourne for the first time or simply treating yourself to a little city escape, @urbanintheskymelb is a beautiful place to stay, with the city right at your doorstep. I’d happily recommend it for your next Melbourne getaway! ✨

A little @tokyolifestyleau beauty haul ♡

If you love all things cute, kawaii and Japanese beauty, Tokyo Lifestyle is definitely one to check out! I’m obsessed with how they bring together beauty, makeup and the cutest Sanrio finds all in one place.

I picked up the most adorable @amuse x Hello Kitty quick makeup mini luggage set, and the tropical Hello Kitty design is just too cute! 🌺

I also have the Cinnamoroll colour hand cream, which has the sweetest blue packaging, the DAISY DOLL shimmer compact for a little sparkle, and the Heroine Make eyeliner, which is such a lovely addition to my makeup collection.

One of my favourite things about Tokyo Lifestyle is their Sanrio range! From Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll to Kuromi and My Melody, there are so many adorable character goodies to browse, including plush charms, keychains, pouches and beauty accessories.

It’s such a lovely way to discover Japanese products and find little favourites that you might not come across in everyday shops.

I also love how accessible it is! You can shop through the @tokyolifestyleau website from home, browse the different categories and explore so many Japanese and Korean beauty products without needing to travel to Japan.

They offer Australia-wide delivery, and their website advertises free shipping on orders over $99 AUD. They also have physical stores in Sydney, which is perfect if you prefer to shop in person! ♡

From daylight to city lights, a little piece of magic above Melbourne ✨🏙️

There’s something so beautiful about watching Melbourne transform throughout the day from high above the city at @urbanintheskymelb. During the day, the panoramic views stretch across the city, with Melbourne’s streets, rooftops and skyline creating the most incredible backdrop. As the afternoon light softens and the sun begins to set, the sky changes colours and the city slowly starts to glow. Then, as night falls, the skyline comes alive with thousands of twinkling lights, creating the most enchanting view from above.

One of my favourite things about this stay was being able to experience Melbourne from sunrise to sunset and into the evening, watching the city change its mood without ever having to leave the comfort of the apartment. It feels like having a little world of your own floating above the city.

As beautiful as Melbourne is during the day, there’s something truly magical about seeing it at night. The glowing buildings, sparkling streets and endless city lights make the view feel almost cinematic, like a scene from a dream.

@urbanintheskymelb is more than just a place to stay; it’s an opportunity to experience Melbourne in a whole new light, from the bright, bustling city by day to its glittering skyline after dark. A dreamy little escape above it all. ✨

How adorable is this little Hello Kitty Lip & Ear Bunny from @toptoy_online ?! 🥹🩷

I couldn’t resist adding this sweet little cutie to my collection. The bunny ears, the tiny Hello Kitty details and the overall design are just so precious and make it such a fun little piece to have on display.

I love how playful and unique this one is. It has that classic Hello Kitty cuteness but with the sweetest little bunny twist, which makes it feel extra special. 🐰🎀

I’ve been wanting to share this adorable Hello Kitty Rainbow Bunny from @toptoy_online because she is honestly one of the cutest pieces I’ve added to my collection.

I love everything about the design. The little bunny ears, soft rainbow colours and sweet Hello Kitty details all work together so nicely. The pastel colour palette gives her such a dreamy and playful look, while still keeping that classic Hello Kitty charm that makes her instantly recognisable.

What I especially love is how colourful she is without being too bright. The rainbow tones make her really stand out, but the softer colours keep her looking super cute and aesthetic. She would look adorable displayed with other Sanrio pieces or even just sitting on her own as a little statement piece.

Since it’s Space Week, I had the perfect excuse to share this little space-themed find 🌙⭐️

Meet the @tamagotchi_anz Original – 30th Anniversary “Space Tama” Style 🪐💫

I’m honestly obsessed with how nostalgic this one feels while still having such a fun, cosmic twist. The deep navy design, little stars, planets and space characters make the whole package feel like a tiny trip back to the ’90s… but in space.

My thoughts:
⭐️ The design is SO cute
🪐 Love the space-themed details
👾 The original Tamagotchi gameplay gives it that classic nostalgic feel

I've been trying out the @anua_global Barrier Reboot Daily Moisturiser and I can honestly see why this has become such a popular skincare step.

The texture is one of my favourite things about it, it feels lightweight, smooth and silky on the skin, but still gives that really lovely feeling of hydration without being thick or greasy.

It sinks into the skin beautifully and leaves my skin feeling soft, plump and comfortable. I also love that it doesn’t leave that sticky feeling behind, so it works really nicely both morning and night and layers well with the rest of my skincare.

The formula is focused on supporting the skin barrier, with ingredients including panthenol and ceramide NP. I’ve especially been reaching for it when my skin feels like it needs a little extra hydration and some TLC.

If you prefer moisturisers that feel nourishing but still lightweight, this is definitely one to try. It gives my skin that fresh, healthy, hydrated look without feeling like I’ve put a heavy cream on.

The @melbourneroyalshow is back for 2026, and honestly, you could spend an entire day here and still have more to see.

Running from 24 September – 4 October 2026 at Melbourne Showgrounds, the Show brings together everything you’d expect from a classic Melbourne Show, plus so many new experiences this year. There are more than 5,000 animals, carnival rides, showbags, live entertainment, food, shopping and plenty of activities for families and kids.

One of the cutest parts for me was the Care Bears Live Show. It’s a colourful 30-minute live performance with music, dancing and lots of fun moments centred around friendship, kindness and caring. It runs daily at 1:45pm and 4:45pm at the Sushi Hub Entertainment Precinct.

There’s also PAW Patrol Playland, where you can meet the pups and enjoy mini golf, a scooter track and craft activities, plus live shows featuring PAW Patrol, Gabby’s Dollhouse and the Madagascar Penguins. There are also circus performances, FMX stunt shows and The Great Muster featuring working dogs, sheep and goats.

And of course, you can’t go to the Show without checking out the carnival. There are 59 rides across three carnival areas, including three new rides for 2026, while the Showbag Pavilion has more than 400 showbags to choose from.

For the animal lovers, there’s the bigger Animal Nursery where you can get up close to baby goats, lambs and piglets, along with bunnies, ponies, horses, dogs, cattle, sheep and alpacas throughout the Show. You can even try milking a cow, see sheep shearing and explore Livestock Lane behind the scenes.

And if you stay until the evening, the Show really comes alive with Blaze FMX Showdown, The Drover’s Tale and fireworks every night at 8:30pm.
