June was a reminder…

The goal isn’t to become someone who never gets triggered.

The goal is to recover more quickly.

To communicate more honestly.

To pause before assuming.

To choose curiosity over fear.

Healing isn’t perfection. It’s practice. by @hellomrrobinson_

At some point, you have to decide if you’re dedicated to making a change or dedicated to your excuses.

Two years ago I questioned my existence.

I didn’t believe I had much to offer to anyone other than physical satisfaction. After years of feeling misunderstood and emotionally disrespected, I settled into a reality I thought was the norm. I was down bad. At moments my fear was greater than my faith — yet I remained optimistic.

Now, I can see the light at the end of this dark tunnel I have been walking through for the past couple years. All those experiences helped shift my perspective to create the life I want to live, which meant stepping outside of the shadows I once called home and into the light to discover a new source of love and happiness. by @hellomrrobinson_
