About the Visconti Excerpt from Atlas:
As with the original Homo Sapiens, the Dark Crystal is made from volcanic lava rock making the pen virtually unbreakable, naturally hygroscopic and very comfortable to write with. All trims are made from steel with ruthenium plating and the cap closes with Visconti's patented 'hook safe lock'. If you ever have the opportunity to take a workshop with @suzettes_pretty_pages I strongly recommend it. I was able to take her workshop at the 2026 Orlando Pen show.

Artist and Interior Designer Suzette Perez teaches creative journaling and tunnel pages. When I first heard of tunnel pages, I wasn't sure what they were. Perhaps its her design training that helped her see beyond one page...one main picture. Can you simply pick up some paper, scissors and ephemera and begin? Yes. But some of us need that gentle push to start. Your aesthetic may not be aligned with Suzette's but I guarantee that taking the class will inspire you to cut, glue and find ways to use the piles of ephemera you have been hoarding, i mean collecting...for years.

I'm looking forward to turning the paper keepsakes I've been saving into something creative that preserves the memories behind them.

5th Annual Orlando Pen Show 2026

Sometimes, going to a pen show or an event that caters to your obsession is necessary and beneficial to your mental health. Its truly so much fun gathering with like minded people who "get it".

Do you need another pen? -- Yes!
Do you need more ink? --- YES!!!

Even as a shy introvert, like me, you may find some kindred spirits and make new friends to enable you.

@pixelettestudio and @quietlovelythings this ink has very nice shading properties i think a Medium Fine nib will show it better than this Fine Nib by @hellomrsrandom

I printed an adorable monthly calendar on washi sticker paper but was unhappy with how it wrinkled when I put it down (major props to all the small shops that do full page covers btw!!!). In the end i decided to cut out the page and tipped in this adorable vellum from @thecoffeemonsterzco using @pion2015 washi tape.

On the left side you find seal stickers from TCMC, Positive Affirmation stickers by @aglitterylifeplans and some sparkles.

I feel happy every time I see it. by @hellomrsrandom

My random assortment of items picked up on Hobonichi Day 2027

Honestly, I already have an A5 "planner" in hand from @fadedchronicle which is perfect for me and my family.

However, I was intrigued by the theme set forth by Hobonichi for 2027. Then, when I saw the adorable A5 cover designed by @yumikitagishi, I knew I was ordering ✨. It captured by heart with the soft pink and hand drawn village scenery (a larger screenshot is on the last slide).

The Japan exclusive Hello Kitty brought me back to Kindergarten. The nostalgia was STRONG. I used to have a red Hello Kitty 🍎 wallet that I would put my lunch ticket in every day 🎫. So I'm grateful to my cousin who helped me acquire a few of the items from the collection.

Diamine x Blueblack
아이스 아메리카노 (Ice Americano)

☕ Iced Americano — the ninth ink in the Seoul City set from BlueBlack Pen Shop x Diamine.

A warm, dark chocolate-coffee brown that softens into reddish dark brown on uncoated paper. This ink looks like an Iced Americano without any cream , the way I prefer— the ink equivalent of my favorite everyday order.

Diamine Espresso ☕✒️
From the 150th Anniversary collection — a rich, cool-toned medium brown with subtle shading and a striking medium black sheen. Smooth, sophisticated.

I first tried this ink in 2024, then acquired a full bottle from @cultpens in 2025 when I couldn't get this ink out of my mind.

Diamine Gingerbread 🍪
From the 2019 Ink Vent Calendar
— a medium brown with a soft golden undertone, warm and toasty like its name suggests. It shades from a caramel to a deeper cocoa tone.
