Year In Review: Last Spring I wrote, casted, directed, designed costumes for AND acted in a roving theatre production for a swanky event produced by @katsingledain at the @vanaqua !!

Who wants to perform with me this spring?

Photos by @kunaphotography highly recommend him for your next show!

I started creating drag shows that were fashion performances before Drag Race existed. I was painting up with clown WAY before clown face was famous. I was cross dressing as a drag king before drag kings wore heels.

If you want to know what everyone will be doing in a few years come see my next show ;)

My spirit guides told me to let my ego free so thought I would give that a try too.

When the curtains match the REST OF THE HOUSE😁🤡 Thanks for having me!! What a fun and cathartic evening at ‘This Is The Art’. I was booked as a feature act but honestly a space where everyone shows up with their own imperfect but raw & visceral soul-exposing #openmic performance is such a good vibe to be in.

@katherynaccordion showed up and not only performed some amazing jazz according music but surprised me with this 1960’s vintage jumpsuit…do you agree that I should never take it off? 🙏🙏🙏

Bb gurl @mend.the.spirit was an amazing host and producer & I love the venue at @enablingarts 🧑‍🩰

🎙️🎙️HAND ME A MIC & I’LL HAND YOU A VIBEEE🎪🎪 In lovvvvee with these shots from THE SHOW. I’ve spent so much time creating Costume Therapy over the past 5 years - I lost my momentum as a performer…but…I’M BACK.

🤡I just love being a freaky little gender blending glam rock drag clown.🤡 What do you think of this character? 😈🍰

🙏🙏Massive props to the whole team at @m3uzd for producing this incredible event, handing me the mic and the opening slot and trusting…

📸Everyone follow this photographer👉 @brendan_mcalpine who said YES and showing up to shoot these on a moments notice.

💭 I hope I get to MC a few more gigs this summer!

And see ya’ll tomorrow for our community open stage with @mend.the.spirit at @enablingarts

They said I could do anything so I became a clown in a wedding dress and invited people to come paint me while i performed.

Reminder that this event is happening AGAIN next weekend…Not sure if we need a tarp for this one yet.

Rehearsing with @mend.the.spirit & @hellomxdiamond this weekend we’ll get back to you ;):);)

The other day I paused, on my way into full clown face. This white out base struck me, and held my attention.

I felt like a porcelain doll, polished on the exterior.

Posed on a shelf for her obedience & conformity.

I grew up religious. Hella religious. I also grew up contorting myself, to look perfect in everyone’s eyes.

No one told me I had to do this. I just did it. As a reflex.

So I shot this series inspired, contemplating my current work of unmasking, and the realization that I still play the perfect daughter in some situations.

It’s an automatic survival technique - “squeeze yourself to fit on the shelf!” “Don’t rock the boat or you might break and fall apart!”

Also I just love this dress.
