Tile Coffee Table How To: I made a box out of 2x4's and covered them in plywood. This is the most difficult part, getting these measurements exact to match the tiles and grout measurements. After that it's smooth sailing. Mix the mortar to a peanut butter consistency, spread it on the plywood box and also back butter the tiles and press them into place. Use spacers to maintain consistency. Let dry for 24-48 hours. I used a white grout with a terracota dye. Once the grout is in you'll use a sponge to wipe away excess material and clean up the the tile. After drying for 24-48 hours flip the table and screw in the castor wheels.
It's a fun weekend job that can be done in 3 days. 2 hours to build the box. 1-2 hours to tile. 1 hour to grout. Total cost is around $200 for materials.

Highest of highs and lowest of lows yesterday. Literally shed blood, sweat, and tears while spending almost 9 hours on the bike racing and climbing 100 miles of off road terrain through the mountains. Type 2 fun at its finest. 🙌
