#ad We flew @flyJSX for the first time and now I don’t think we can fly any other way. Everything was so seamless: quick, high-tech security experience, no long waits at the airport, no boarding groups, no baggage carousel, no chaos!

It’s also so refreshing to see how welcoming JSX is with small AND large dogs in cabin and the dog amenities they offer in partnership with @Petco. I couldn’t believe the silver platter the flight attendant brought Ruby during our flight 🥺 and she even earned her own rewards toward future flights!

This is the best place to stay for a fall foliage getaway in California 🍂 Escape to @desolationhotel_hv to be surrounded by a sea of gold. Their property is nestled within an aspen grove and features cabins and yurts, an on-site restaurant, and trails - all of which are dog-friendly!

Our favorite Mammoth base camp: @OutboundMammoth by @outboundhotels

We stayed here last winter and loved it so much we knew we had to visit in the summer too! The same cabin-style room, dog bed + bowl at check-in, and Ruby’s spot on the “pups in the house” board hit just as good in warm weather.

And the location is unmatched — 5 min to the Lakes Basin, 15 to Hot Creek, 20 to June Lake.

How to spend a dog-friendly weekend in @visitdenver🏔️ How to get there, where to stay, hikes, breweries, a photoshoot, and a day trip to Colorado Springs. Comment DENVER and we’ll send you the full guide with everything we did 👇

How we got there: Flew Oakland to Denver with @flyretrievair and it was the calmest flight Ruby’s ever had.

You fly in and out of private FBO terminals, there’s no long TSA lines, and boarding happens back to front to keep dog crossover low. AND there’s no weight restrictions so all dogs are welcome and they can even enjoy their own seat. A true dog first experience! ✈️🐾

@flyretrievair currently flies out of 11 US cities including SF, LA, Denver, Chicago, NYC, Dallas, Seattle, DC, Atlanta, Scottsdale, and Fort Lauderdale.

Where we stayed: @populushotel_denver, America’s first carbon positive hotel. The exterior is designed to mimic aspen trees where the texture changes with the light all day.

@populushotel_denver earned a Michelin Key in 2025 and the rooftop bar might be the best view of the Denver skyline.

We stayed in the Mountain Studio Suite and enjoyed the extra spacious layout.

Pet policy: No breed or weight restrictions, up to two dogs welcome per room with $75 fee. Dogs are welcome throughout the property and at outdoor restaurant areas.

15 mins outside Denver in Morrison sits @redrocksco and the sandstone formations are even more impressive in person.

Heads up, the area closes to hikers at 2pm on concert days, which is most days in summer, so go early ⛰️

We hiked the Trading Post Trail (1.4 mi loop, our top pick, plan on 45 min to an hour) and the Morrison Slide Loop (4.1 mi, more elevation, plan on 2 to 2.5 hours if you want a real hike).

Tip: Denver sits at 5,280 ft so give your dog a day to adjust before a big hike

We did a sunset session with @tailsofvoyage out in the mountains and got some of our favorite photos of the whole trip 📸

Ellen and Julie were amazing to work with! They knew all the best photo spots in the area, gave great direction, and made us feel so comfortable.

Stay at @villagecampresorts just minutes from downtown Truckee and all the best dog-friendly activities.

We always stay in an adventure cabin, but the property also offers RV/van parking with a clubhouse and laundry facility on-site.

Pet policy: Up to 2 dogs welcome with a $50 per pet fee. No weight restrictions.

Take in the views at Donner Overlook and find the hidden swing in the area. The Donner Pass swing is best captured at sunrise or mid day when the sun is behind the swing/lake. You can find it across the street from 17718 Donner Pass Rd.

Hike Donner Tunnels along the first railroad line to traverse the Sierra Nevada Range. The trail is out and back so you can make it as long or as short as you want. Don’t miss the views along the way in between tunnels.

Walk around downtown Truckee. Pop into shops, grab coffee or light bites, and walk along the river. We love the sours & apps at Craft & Logic, Coffeebar for breakfast, Drink Coffee Do Stuff for coffee

Spend most of the day on the water: either float the Truckee river with @truckeeriverrafting or snag a public pier early at Donner Lake.

Not matter which one you do, make sure you get ice cream from @littletruckeeicecreamery after. They have a location at Donner Lake and an ice cream truck downtown.

Then relax back at your cabin @villagecampresorts with games and homemade dinner on your deck by the fire.
