Last September 2025 I felt the Lord ask me to start packing our boxes and putting items in storage. Little did I know that would lead us to landing in Cowansville, Quebec and starting a completely new season.

My husband and I both let go of the businesses we had built for over 8 years. From having 2 studios and 1 apartment in the same building, a rental house in Carignan with a beautiful view to our current basement apartment with half our lives in storage.

Yet, we’ve never been happier. 🥲

This summer has been new, exciting and at times very stressful (ngl) — However, full of adventure and rediscovery. Not only of our new location but of who we are as a family of 3.

I couldn’t be more proud of my husband as he let go of his private business of Olivier The Barber to work at a hair salon (something he said he’d never do) and simultaneously work at a cafe. Thus making his work weeks 6 even 7 days at times.

With what started out as drop off cry fests becuase “daddy was going to work” turned into mama and Zyon fun days while we went on excusions throughout the city and neighbouring cities and through it even started a local blog called @discover.cowansville 🐮📍!

As this season comes to an end I know that it will have been a transition in our family story that goes down in the books as one of the easiest and funnest transitions we’ve experienced.

Know that when you say YES full heartedly to the Lord it may not look as you imagined, there may be bumps along the way & it might (will — IMO) feel uncomfortable. But truth is, a yes to His plans is always, always, always better than a yes to our own — which leads us to peril. ❤️‍🩹 I can attest to that 🥲.

On January 14th, 2020, I wrote words I couldn’t yet understand. Two months later, the world slowed to a halt—and so did my certainty, my vision for the future, and the version of myself that believed clarity came from looking ahead. What followed wasn’t just a global shutdown, but a deeply personal unravelling. One where God didn’t rush me forward, but invited me inward.

Five years later, I can see it clearly. What felt like interruption was actually initiation. What felt like blindness was God leading me in ways I had not known—turning darkness into light and slowly, patiently, making the rough places smooth.

Today I’m relaunching The Unedited Me Podcast in alignment with that truth. This renewed version now includes guided Christian meditation segments—spaces to slow down, breathe, and sit with God rather than strive for answers. The first meditation is directly connected to my newest Substack reflection, a return to those 2020 words, now held with the gift of hindsight and grace. 🙏🏻

This podcast isn’t about fixing yourself, mapping the future, or finding clarity through force. It’s about learning to be led. About getting curious instead of certain. About trusting that God is still working, even when the path feels hidden.
