okay but who’s actually behind SakuBloom? 👀🌸

three girls, one cozy corner of the internet, and a genuinely unreasonable number of hobbies between us

@beejustblooms built this space because hobby spaces haven’t always made room for us. Black women and women of color love the same nerdy, cozy, niche things everyone else does…we just don’t always get to see ourselves in them.

so we made the space we were looking for. real girls, real takes, real hobbies…no gatekeeping, no “you don’t look like you’d be into that”

swipe to meet me us, learning our favorite anime, current obsessions, and prepare for the chaos that happens when three very different girls run one blog/community.

excited to start a new project building @hellosakubloom ! I am no stranger to the struggle of finding community and in my opinion, there is a gap with that within the hobby community! I have so many ideas for the blog and community BUT We are at the very beginning stage so please be patient!

Shoutout to @xlilchaos & @blindiandaily for agreeing to help get this project launched!! by @hellosakubloom

Wanna go physical media shopping? 👀📀

Collecting physical media has been one of my most healing hobbies so far. It’s nice finding and collecting media that I was obsessed with growing up! With the push for more digital media with no ownership, it is even more important to collect what we love🤎 by @hellosakubloom

I wanted to do something different to show my gratitude for my team at @hellosakubloom so I decided to send them their favorite Bratz doll! This is how they reacted 🥹🤎

Incredibly grateful for you both! @blindiandaily @xlilchaos by @hellosakubloom

pov: hobbying on a budget 🧶 found a whole shelf of knitting, embroidery + crochet kits (and a few lego sets for the building girlies) at @fivebelow you really don’t need a big budget to start that hobby you’ve been eyeing! which one caught your eye?

🌸 hobbies to try in your 20s & 30s because adulthood ate all your free time and you FORGOT what you even like doing…bc SAME

swipe for 6 ideas, we saved the rest for the blog!

crochet & knitting: for when your hands need something to do while your brain rests

junk journaling: turn your random receipts and ticket stubs into something pretty (this is a more normal journal photo but search them up to for some inspo!)

indoor gardening: low commitment, high payoff, very good for your soul (and ego once you manage to keep a plant alive 😂)

watercolor & paint by numbers: zero talent required (maybe a little water management needed?), just vibes and a brush. You may flood the page at first but you will catch on to how much water to use!

gaming (any kind counts): cozy farming sims, story games, board games, card games, whatever gets you offline for a bit!

reading: yes even if you have the attention span of a goldfish, or only read manga or novellas!

6 Hobbies to try in your 20s and 30s!

there are a total of 12 hobby ideas on the blog (link in bio) 🌸 go find your next hobby and check out some of or other posts! by @hellosakubloom
