WHAT. A. WEEK!

Fourth Runner-Up to Miss Texas, second place to Overall Best of Texas, third place in the Pinnacle Club, recipient of the Decade by Design and the Women in Horticulture Scholarships, and College & Career Interview finalist!!

I’m walking away from Miss Texas 2026 with $5,350 in scholarships and countless new memories! From never ending rehearsals and late night floor meetings, to time spent in prayer circles backstage, this week was truly unforgettable and I’m already missing it.

These 7 days spent in Richardson was sweet, but only thanks to my incredible team that got me there!

To DaNae & Bryce, I am forever indebted to you! Your encouragement, kindness, and smarts were everything I needed this year. I’m forever grateful that I get to call myself a Laker Girl!
To @First_Impression_Interview, thank you for your patience and pep talks in our early morning sessions. I’m the speaker I am thanks to you!

To our new yellow rose, @ReganHutsell— HI, MISS TEXAS! From the moment we met in North Carolina, I knew that it was only a matter of time until you were Miss Texas. I’m so glad I was able to spend this week alongside you, stand in the Top 5 with you, and I can’t wait to spend this year cheering you on🥹

Lastly, to my sweet Teens, @MaddieLeigh09 and @MiaKentFerraro— I am so beyond proud of you two! Walking this journey with you girls has filled my heart in ways I cannot explain. I’ll always be rooting for you 🩷🌸

Me + my dream gown🌸🌟

Last night, we competed in the second night of preliminaries here at Miss Texas! The Tau group started off with On-Stage Question, where I had the opportunity to share the importance of lifesaving CPR and my dad’s story. Then we took the stage in one of my favorite stages of competition, Evening Gown!

My dress is an absolute dream come true, literally. I tried her on in Fall 2024 and had dreams about it for weeks! Two weeks after Miss Texas last year, I opened up Facebook Marketplace and there she was!! In my size!!!

So let this serve as your reminder that something can be second hand and still fabulous, and that something doesn’t have to be “new” to be a great addition to your closet!

An absolutely MASSIVE thank you to @LegacyTailor for hand-beading the bottom few inches of the hem so it was long enough; and to @TerryCostaProm for getting us the supplies to make this possible.🪡

See you tonight at the @EisemannCenter for night 3!

Just like that, my favorite 10 minutes of the whole week are complete!

This afternoon, I had the chance to share my heart, story, and vision with the Miss Texas judging panel. I had the absolute BEST time getting to showcase the woman the @MissAmerica Opportunity has made me into!🤍

They say it takes a village, and that could not be more true! Of course, I have to take a moment for my incredible prep team that has guided me along the way.

To Lori, @First_Impression_Interview, your steadfast support and encouragement was a game changer! I’m going to miss our early Friday mornings🌞

To @Pageant_Polish, @MadisonMarshMorris, and @PageantPrepbyLandry I’m so grateful for you all! From mock interviews to uplifting texts, this season of anticipation and preparation was incredible, thanks to you!!🤍

Lastly, to @Danae.Couch & @BCouch15 for our weekly calls, countless mock interviews and your endless encouragement. THANK YOU for pouring into me and my year as Miss Southlake. I just love you guys! ✨

Next up, preliminaries!🥳

For such a small bunny, you lived quite the big life.

Yesterday, my sweet Biscuit unexpectedly hopped across the rainbow bridge. If you knew biscuit, you understand just how big this loss is. He was quick to win over my friends, or make friends of his own in any dog or cat he met.

From my first semester of college to my very last week, Biscuit was a companion unlike any other, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Biscuit, may you have an infinite supply of raspberries, banana, and warm blankets. Come find me in every form you return in🤍 by @hellosarahswift
