A good way to spy on the golf is to take the path that snakes between the course and the ocean. It turned out to be the most spectacular Sunday stroll. Succulents clinging to lava rocks jutting out from the sea, green fairways for miles and the odd ‘bumping’ into the boys 😉
I didn’t know Tenerife was so stunning.

Golf Tenerife Canary Islands half term break by @hellosophietall

Shopping, spa and siestas. We spent the morning wondering around Garachico, a glorious small town with cobbled streets, great shops and lots of charm. It’s also home to natural sea pools - made from lava erupting over the years. I optimistically took my togs to dive in but the sea was wild!
I’m a new adopter to an afternoon in a spa, but my gosh it’s sensational. I got my cold water fix here instead.

Should I have bought the snail shirt??!!!
(See stories for the dress I bought. It’s divine, was roughly £60 with a discount)!

Yes I hid under a palm tree to watch Bruno master the golf buggy!

So, 1 round of golf for the boys, 1 sensational massage for me, several beers and glasses of wine and a 7 course gastronomic experience courtesy of a Michelin Star Chef Seve Diaz. The most superb day in Tenerife.

Happy 16th birthday my darling Oscar. We set off at the crack of dawn to fly to Tenerife for a golfing weekend at the fabulous @hotelhaciendadelconde
I’ll be enjoying swim, spa and siesta while the boys take on the amazing Ballesteros course sandwiched between volcanic mountains and the North Atlantic.

The good thing about having our birthdays close together is getting to see so many wonderful friends at my birthday lunches. When I had the boys I thought I would be turning 50 when they were turning 18 and 16 and we’d have a joint ‘do’, but I got my maths wrong and my big one is next year!

Oscar is 16 on Thursday but we celebrated yesterday with his nearest and dearest, including his favourite dogs 🐶.

My poor sister has come to all 3 birthday lunches over the last month and she is the most excellent right hand woman ❤️.

I’ve had another one of those days… the ones I will cherish forever and wish I could bottle and keep. I took a gaggle of my girls wild swimming - totally out of their comfort zone! We all loved it, the water was warmer than the air temperature. Then we sat around a fire to warm up, swigging champagne before tucking into fish pie to warm our cockles.

Thank you @lexiloola for capturing my birthday so brilliantly

I’m obsessed with my downstairs loo..I went crazy on the @sibylcolefax wallpaper because I totally fell in love with it. I grew up with a brown bathroom and it definitely influenced me.

Paintwork is @edwardbulmerpaint in ‘Mummy’. Very apt.

Im in bed creating a tulip mood board for the garden! I didn’t plant any last autumn because Mary was so ill and although I bought some bulbs, I just didn’t get into the garden. But this year I’m going all out with a salmon pink theme, chucking in the odd Queen of the Night to contrast with the bright lime euphorbia which flowers at a similar time. I’m looking forward to a bright spring.

The boys HATE having their photos taken so getting a shot, let alone a natural one, is impossible, even on the trip of a lifetime. Here are some funny outtakes from Kenya.
