Adélie, the smallest penguin species in the Antarctic, but feisty with attitude.
Excellent swimmers, can dive to depths of 180 meters. They look clumsy on land, but they are actually very competent walkers, capable of covering many kilometers overland at an average speed of 2.5km per hour ✨

This one took me a little while to edit… mostly because I had to wait for Sir (AI) Attenborough to have the time and be willing to help me with the VO for my script 😂🎙️

Jokes aside, this was one of those encounters I still can’t quite believe I got to witness.

A freshly caught seal. A hungry young bear. A much bigger male.
And absolutely no idea what was going to happen next.
We just kept watching. And waiting.

I hope this little video gives you a glimpse of what we were lucky enough to witness out there.

🌫️🩵 warm, humid air trapped inside the housing hits the cold glass dome cooled by the freezing Arctic air outside. So i embrace the condensation 😅 and frame this curious solitary puffin in the soft, dreamlike mood it deserved. by @hellowglow
