i tried to capture the stars but my photo doesn’t do even an ounce of justice 💫

i want to share my favorite experience of this trip. one night before we went to sleep in the bed we made in the subaru trunk, we were laying down outside and looking up at the stars and the galaxy (getting emotional and deep and teary eyed as one does when reminded of the infinite enormity of our universe) and we started to hear coyotes howl. it started with one pack but multiple packs of them around us started to howl. we could hear them from all directions and distances and one of the packs not too far away had puppies!!!!!! we could tell they were puppies because of how high pitched their howls were compared to all the other howls. we listened to them howling back and forth to each other in stunned silence for at least 5 mins while squeezing each others hands in shock and excitement. sweet baby puppy howls among the big coyote howls. it was adorable and incredible and also a little bit scary and i will never forget it. happy october!!! 🐺 awooooooooo 🐺
october is my favorite month and it always has been bc i love halloween and fall and spooky season. it’s even more my favorite month now because it’s also the month i met my sweet benny a year ago. by @hellraiserrr
