photography isn’t what a lot of people expect, I used to be one of them. You invest a lot of money in kit to literally thousands and thousands of pounds, invest time, miles, money, fuel it’s relentless. Always get the people who feel photography should be a volunteers role or “all you do is press a button”. 🤦🏼‍♂️. Sometimes we do it for the love of the moments and memories, however without support it’s going to be a dying trade and mobile phones don’t cut it. Also don’t let photographers chase payments it’s not classy at all.

Last week Hellstrøm Photography assisted covering Imperia Fight Night first show and I took along another team member who’s never worked in combat photography, it was also his very first boxing event. I gave him a 5 minute crash course in fast paced subjects, added base settings and let him do his own thing. I’ve only just managed to have a scan over and he’s done a good job. The camera used is the baby compact Canon r50 paired with the superb Sigma 17m-40mm Art 1.8 lens and as you can see they work well together and a very capable combo. by @hellstromphotography
