16.8.2025 One year since we got married in a living room ♥️ Seven guests is pretty small for a wedding but pretty substantial if the occasion also doubles as a sleepover. So glad we did both that day. Happy anniversary Arash joon: singer of FaceTime lullabies, co-author of small traditions, lover of dusk, and magnifier of my life. by @helmidemaxi
a mini essay I wrote about witnessing a total solar eclipse and my unending love for bad moon photos, published in @ouiouimail Vol. 2 earlier this year 🌒 + tietysti muutama teemaa myötäilevä otos eilisestä auringonpimennyksestä… otitko säkin tärähtäneen puhelinkuvan? 💌 by @helmidemaxi
My documentary photography series ‘Archive of Misplaced Matter’ is on view in Helsinki🧣 I’ve spent the last few years photographing lost objects and the improvised pedestals strangers raise them on. Missing sweaters tied to garden fences, keys dangling from signposts, pairless gloves staked on electric poles… Of passers-by elevating what’s been lost into our collective line of sight, in the hopes of returning it home. 🗝️ Watch the margins of the street and you’ll start noticing these spontaneous sculptures everywhere. Or if you need evidence, stop by the ”Hylsygalleria” exhibition at Teurastamo, on view now through July 31st.

Fresh off the press!

Interviewed, photographed, and touched some moss with my dear friend Leo @leohidalgo_ for Sälä @sala.magazine recently.

Leo geeked out over bio-colourants and foraging as a place-making practice while I geeked out over ecofeminist evolutionary and literary theory. The result was a collective geek-out re: seasonally aligned design processes, and the poetics and politics of dyeing textiles. 🍇🧵⏳🌌
