Track 01 “Enter the Portal” feat. @isea.x

As the opening track to my experimental electronic album, Oscillting Realms, “Enter the Portal” is representative of the beginning of this journey into a universe defined by feedback.

Feedback is both metaphorical and literal for “Enter the Portal”, as the production techniques I used during the post-processing phase involved using reverb and delay lines to process the same vocal sample loop in new ways that stretch and warp the initial loop into a metaphorical worm hole and through the other side of the event horizon. I designed this vocal take with @isea.x for Splice’s FLUX Drill Sample Pack, and it felt like the perfect way to instantiate the audiences journey into a world driven by manipulated noise, designed by HEMMA…

My main sonic inspirations for this track are: Hans Zimmer’s soundtracks for “Dune Part One” and “Dune Part Two,” along with “The Dune Sketchbook” and the art book soundtrack for “Dune Part One.”

Finally, this track wouldn’t be complete without its accompanied visual, designed by @klsr.av … KLSR’s style is visually and sonically emblematic of the digital art style and psychedelic multidimensional atmosphere this track deserves. this project would not have been the same without the contribution of @klsr.av

STAY TUNED and FOLLOW @hemmathemonarch & @hemmaverse for more content in Oscillating Realms…

“A State of Flux” OUT EVERYWHERE TONIGHT @ MIDNIGHT EST

No Input Mixing is an experimental electronic production technique where traditional mixing equipment, like a four, six, or eight channel mixer, is repurposed into a unique synthesizer. By routing the mixer’s output back into its input, I manipulate feedback loops to create new sounds. This method allows me to transform the sonic palette dramatically, using various tools to shape the audio over two years of experimentation. This is footage from the past 2 years of experimentation.

Who knew the silence of an empty mixer could scream so loud? I brought some wild sonic energy from LA that’s about to warp your reality. New explorations in feedback are coming in May…
