An invitation to the great outdoors.

The Invitation was created as part of a campaign concept exploring intimacy in nature. Rather than chasing horizons, it lingers on the overlooked details: the pause between conversations, the glow of firelight, the texture of the forest. by @henri.kas

It was an absolute pleasure working with the @grocreative media team during @northcoastfest. I managed to explore a bit, see some artists, and capture some moments during my downtime. taken in North Coast Music Festival by @henri.kas

Recently wrapped a fun little commercial that brought me to LA.

Thanks for dp @ujjwalchande bringing me on this.

Also thanks for @sean.delahunt and @natalieannedelahunt letting me crash on their couch for a bit, driving me around, and an overall great time. taken in Los Angeles, California by @henri.kas

I had the pleasure of working 2nd unit on a Netflix show out in the middle of nowhere. It was chilly, windy, muddy and snow filled but an overall blast filled with wonderful people. by @henri.kas

I don’t have many photos of Adam, myself, or even the two of us together. But I have the memories—the lessons, jokes, conversations, and the countless ways he’s been there for me. I am where I am today because of him.

He was the one I’d text after a long, hard set, thinking I’d messed up. Moments later, he’d call—to listen, calm me down, share tips, and most importantly, remind me with his signature wisdom: “Fuck em.” I still tell his weird jokes, like the one about the elephant in a strawberry patch, and every time I light, I hear (and sometimes say to myself), “Eyyyyyeeee lighttttt.”

I’ll always treasure our one-on-one chats—whether about the school, life, cinematography, or his thoughts on me as a DIT (though I’m not sure either of us were particularly fond of that role). With him gone, I’ll miss the holiday texts, random butt dials, and having someone I could talk about film with, without feeling judged.

I owe Adam a lot. He’ll be missed—not just by me, but by the many people he knowingly or unknowingly helped along the way. by @henri.kas

Another set of stills I captured during that three-day short film. Just a little less moody. by @henri.kas
