Hi friends! I just released a cover album titled "Songs I Grew up with, Vol. 1" I started arranging music for acoustic guitar when I was in high school, and so this was a nice way to collect all the stuff I've done in the last few years and release it. It's available on Spotify and YouTube music and other services you use! Link is in bio

The last song, Surrender, is originally by my lovely dear friends @wearethecomplements :D I met them when we had performed at an event for @bay_area_rising in 2022.

i met the folks at @enyamusicglobal at NAMM this year, showed them my music, and told them I wanted to work together - and here we are!

the guitar i'm playing is the Nova GO SP1. it's a mini acoustic with onboard effects (reverb, delay, phaser, acoustic) that you can customize through their app via bluetooth. it charges over USB-C too. i picked it up because i wanted a travel instrument i could actually bring anywhere without lugging my guitar and pedalboard.

Lee Brice's song "Country Nowdays" is now out if you want to hear about fish and trucks.

Background music is from Gabby Barrett's performance of her song "The Good Ones" at the Turning Point USA Show. I listen to a good amount of her music now after discovering her through the show.

About 16 years ago, @mattjinn22 and I met playing playing Starcraft 2 since his brother and I were in the same year in high school and we were obsessed with video games. And congrats to him since he just released his album 'Icarus' on Friday! We reconnected about a year ago, and he's shown me a lot of demos over the past year and I'm so glad to see his hard work finally released. This is his song 'over and over', that I had learned and tabbed out by ear. It's a really sweet ballad on the album that he released as a single this past April.

Their band name was "The Kim Sisters" which I just realized I never actually mentioned them by name in the video.

Some highlights from 2025!

1) In February I performed as a sub for @thestringrevolution ! I went literally from playing in my bedroom to cramming a ton of music and then going on tour in Arizona in a few cities, including at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona.
2) Signed a autographs afterwards! I've literally never given an autograph before so I had to quickly learn one on the spot.
3) I did my first photoshoot with with @marcdphotos who was such a fantastic photographer and hypeman. I get insecure about my appearance sometimes and this was my first time getting photos done. He was great to take photos with and was so encouraging and present
4) I started playing a few shows with @dreadfro772 and @gonzomusiclabs at the @bigfootwest in West LA! About once a month or so, we've been doing a night of acoustic guitar acts where each of the 3 of us play a set.
5) Attended my first NAMM with The String Revolution as well, performed at the @kysermusicalproducts booth, met lots of really cool people I've only ever interacted with online. Got to play with a lot of new gear too.

And some more difficult moments
- LOTS of burnout. Having a full time job on top of learning music for gigs, learning covers, trying to write original music, social media, and everything was way too much and I hit kind of a breaking point this past March. I basically didn't play any music between March and July and was feeling pretty demotivated. I've been listening to a lot of Japanese rock the past few months and seeing live shows and that's been so great for getting spirits back up.
- I also applied to Anime Expo as a performer to do a bunch of anime song covers, but that didn't pan out this year :[ I also learned that there's actually so many Anime events going on all the time in SoCal I didn't know about. I'll have so many different things I can send in applications to that I'm looking forward to.

For 2026, I started getting a lot more confidence to believe a bit more in myself and post more often and write original music. And so I'm hoping that I can continue sticking with that! by @henry.ling

even though i mostly play acoustic guitar today, i started getting into guitar because my close friend in middle school was really into metal and he introduced me to a ton of music i've never heard before. what song do you want to hear a metal version of?

my actual first introduction to taking music kind of seriously is that when i was in 6th grade, i auditioned for a solo to sing "silent night" for my elementary school choir on a whim, and got it. after that, i got inspired to audition for all-county and all-region choir for new jersey and then after that i got really really serious into it and the rest is history!

this one was really fun to play because of all the different 7th and augmented chords! this reminded me of how in college music theory classes, our professor would recommend that we try to harmonize christmas songs in different ways to learn new chords.
