this evening after years in the making…. seventeen girl days proudly presents… henry brown - the first official guest! henry and i go way back … like when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and when we were all making soundcloud rap! in fact, we had to sit for hours in our finery to pose for this photograph (see above)

I made a zine!

It’s called THERE IS NO DESIGN and it’s an edition of 13. Each is/contains a unique artwork made from plant inks hand-made in, and after, an amazing workshop that @lucila.kenny and @aprilgertler held this past September.

Thank you to everyone who requested one! I'm excited to start sending these to their new homes by @henry____brown

I have Noah to thank for a lot of things, but this (dec 2023) was the first time someone came up to me and asked if I wanted to work on graphics for some cover art. I’ve been into graphic design my whole life, but for some reason I’d never trusted myself enough to see it as something I could actually DO. It always felt like something reserved for professionals. And it’s not as collaborative of a process as video, so I couldn’t see myself getting trusted with (a bit of) a design project based on no experience.

It was just placing two words on a picture, but i really see it as a turning point in my life. Like now I’m out here pursuing a dream I never realized I had.
