Y'all we had a blast last night.

I have a bit of emotion sharing this, in part because of course this was my first gig at the @balconyclub (which is such an iconic Dallas jazz venue) and I was so honored to be performing there, but also in part because I have been having fairly serious vocal issues since April and feel that I am FINALLY moving in the right direction after an appointment at the Baylor Voice Center last week.

Every show this spring I have just been trying to get by with good story-telling and technique, but after 5 days of basically zero practice and a lot of other adjustments I am finally feeling parts of my voice again that I haven't felt in months.

I have so many exciting things coming up (this gig was one of them), so knowing that my voice will be ready is such a relief and is allowing me to actually BE excited.

Thank you again to the band last night, you guys were a dream to play with:

@williamfoleymusic
@henryfbeal
Steve Barnes

Also, for anyone keeping track, I beat William in the tips competition 💃

See you at the next one!
