Homework pt. 1

-Straight off the plane straight to the shop! Got to join 9 artists in a mind-altering group class last week.No stone was left unturned…no sleep was had! It was THE BEST time 🤩
Sometimes you can’t wait or sleep after an experience like that. You just gotta GO ❤️‍🔥 It’s been such an exciting week back in my studio with a whole new perspective 🌀📈📝
Beyond grateful for Gabe, Jordon, all the new friends & the experience as a whole. Words really cannot describe what went down. More to come…
Thank you!! 😁 taken in Asheville, North Carolina by @henrykovacs_

Got this one finished up last week!! Stoked on how it landed for the first one in this style…
Little thicker than I would like but that’s not too much to complain about! Super solid ripper nonetheless. Haven’t made a tube in a while it felt great to put this together, available for now 💎💎 #Northstarglass #BrilloBanger #lampworking #borosilicateglass #ashevilleglass taken in River Arts District, Asheville by @henrykovacs_

Color changing glass? ✨ You don’t always get to see them “filled in”…
Quick story: This was one of the first pieces I made after hurricane Helene, gifted to my most amazing neighbor Sandra ❤️ She opened her doors; shared her porch, food and camp stove and truly made sure everyone was ‘best they could be. Many of us in the building came together for those months and she lead the way by example. We got to share many meals together, many s’mores and now we get to smile that we made it through. You’re a wonderful neighbor and mother and friend! Thank you Sandra 🫶
