Canadian company Thoughtful produces bespoke sweaters, primarily for locations and increasingly for the ski industry.

I caught up with Jim from the company at Listex networking event where he showed me the range in a Canadian two minutes (that's four in real time). It looks pretty impressive to me

You can catch them at the Snow Show in Kensington Olympia today and tomorrow where their garments are featuring in the fashion show.

It's always a pleasure to meet marketing guru Raelene Davies from Ski Utah.

Alta, Snowbird, Deer Valley, Park City and Powder City are some of my favourite resorts in North America normally blessed each season with very healthy doses of Champagne powder.

According to Raelene this season could be particularly epic.

Thank you also Raelene for coming suitably dressed for a Friday. #funkyshirtfriday

We met yesterday at a major ski industry networking event, Listex.

Nice one Mountain Trade Network for putting on an excellent trade show, Listex, for the ski industry.

I have made new contacts, heard excellent presentation, firmed up some press trips and reconnected with old friends and colleagues. And had an excellent lunch courtesy of the Austrians.

Why can't all days be this fruitful?

I knew I was in safe hands, literally, with boot fitter Will who works at Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports in Covent Garden.

As he was going through the two-hour process of selecting and custom-fitting my boots he told me his parents had owned a ski shop and started him skiing from two years old.

He clearly lives and breathes skiing - potentially working a season in Japan this year - has a wealth of experience and is a very skilful at what he does. taken in Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports by @henryskier

Thanks Swiss Snow Demo Team for taking us to the mountains - at least virtually. It makes me itch for the mountains even more.

When you realise the combined age of people at the table is over 300 years but everyone is still living life to the full. Awesome to catch up with members of the France family after 25 years!!!!

The original connection was through skiing, as all the best connections are. Isabel (extreme left), my brother Michael and moi met on a local group ski holiday to Malnitz in Austria.

Aged 12 it was my first time skiing.

Our get together (hup hum) years later illustrates the power of the sport to bring people together, make memories for life and, in my case, transform my life.

Let's start a campaign to get this sport included in the Winter Olympics. I reckon it would be a huge hit. #colorado #esteparkcolorado #visitestepark by @henryskier
