For eight years now, we at Ridge Adventure have had the privilege of taking our pack deep into remote, forgotten corners of the world—into indigenous communities quietly slipping away beneath the weight of modernity, gentrification, and heavy tides of nationalism. Every time we step into one of our Local Authentic Adventure Experiences, we are humbled. The hosts and guides who welcome us teach us lessons that no book could ever hold. They remind us of who we truly are as individuals, and of the deeper, shared fabric of our humanity. They help us remember why we walk this earth, and what legacy we hope to leave behind in the hands of our children and the generations yet to come. Those truths are not merely planned; they are felt deeply within our bones first, taking root in the heart long before they ever translate into the physical places we roam or the kindred souls we meet along the way.

The Sufi Night - Pilgrimage Season

At the heart of every culture, belief system, across different species, lies the concept of leaving home and the familiar seeking one's higher self, healing, divine connection and love, to realize upon return that the journey was never to places but a pilgrimage within.

Join us for an evening of connection and devotion, commemorating the end of the Pilgrimage Season.

The night will be candle lit, journeying between ancient Sufi wisdom, poetry, featuring artists who reflect their own translation of the Sufi path.

The Flow of the evening:

6.30 -7.00 pm: Arrival and settling in
7.00 -7.45 pm: Introduction, philosophy and poetry
7.45 - 8.30 pm: Art performance by the featured artists

After our engagement I envisioned @henztories and I exchanging pre-marital vows somewhere private, on a secluded beach, barefoot in the sand and gazing into each other's eyes.

Two months later on this trip to Egypt, @theegyptian.priestess made this happen without knowing that I'd also seen us exchanging vows in front of the Sphinx.

We had less than 24hours to prepare. We were given a piece of papyrus 📜 to write our vows and gifted exquisite kimonos to wear, woven with Egyptian symbology (Horus and the blue lotus) 🪷

We arrived at the sphinx at sunset, landing in between its paws to find another reason, another witness and another place to commit to one another 😄🥰✨

On the 9th day of the 9th month of the year that adds up to the number 9 (2025) at 18:45 (9:9), on a special evening with so much purifying rain outside ☔, in a beautiful shala looking right over the lush jungles 🌴of Bali - dressed up in a stunning off-white flowy dress with wings - and after I have taken her on a treasure hunt around Bali.. I have asked the most gorgeous woman inside out, with the kindest soul, most beautiful pair of eyes, cutest smile, a very intellectually sharp mind with deep meanderings, a sun-kissed skin from all the adventures we have been on together across the archipelago, and the one who stole my heart the moment I laid my eyes on her, if she would take that leap of faith and jump into that rabbit hole of joy and bliss by marrying me...

She said "Of course" at first and then said "Yes", and between both words, my heart felt as if at last it reached "Home", so her sanity I had to check...

So once again two weeks later on an empty white sandy beach like a dream, I asked, "Will you Marry me?" to my surprise, she has not changed her mind, and this time I caught her by surprise when she saw the ring inside the box - a placeholder they called.

I didn't take two Yes-es for an answer, so this time to seal it three (9's youngest sister), I took her where I always go to seek for answers, under one of our favorite drizzling feminine waterfalls 🌊, as the ☀️ Sun centered the sky - the time when Horus soars, I didn't even have to ask, I got down on one knee, she reached out to me and gave me a kiss 💋, I knew right then, that she's one...

Everyday since I met you has been special, all the laughs, our love for desserts, matching food taste, all your support when I am most in need, being fond of Ma'at and Egyptian philosophy, and showing up as the best therapist we could both have... I am so lucky, delighted, excited and in tears to have found you, and to be sharing this journey called life with you, I Love You ❤️<-- (love heart)

Last week @henztories and I were very fortunate to be able to attend a traditional Balinese wedding for Krishna and his darling wife Kadek Wira.

So glad we could be there to witness you and celebrate you both through this initiative chapter of your lives..

“DUAT” Immersive Egyptian Underworld Experience

Journey through the ancient Egyptian soul's passage to the underworld with Raz Moussa ( @razmoussa ) & Henzo Rashed ( @henztories ) - two Bali-based multidisciplinary Egyptian lineage holders.

Venturing not only to see, but also to feel, to realize, and to connect; We Are Nature, all of it, made of earth matter, water running through our veins, air filling our lungs, and fire drives us, we never got separated nor will we be able to, we won't have any other homes, because we only arrive when we are back in her womb.

A weekend well spent setting off direction north, road tripping through Bali's mountains with breathtaking views, waterfalls showers, sunrise sleepy yet serene faces, 🐬 dolphins beautiful encounter, complemented with the best company, the Ridge Go Wild crew.

Time and time again we realize that travel's real treasure is in the people we come across, from our host local communities and comrades, whose life's journey crossed paths with ours in this instantaneous space and time, for whom we owe our teachings, wisdom, and the special moments we lived and gathered.

We swam with stingless jellyfish, dove over colorful reefs, showered in pristine waterfalls, hiked to live volcanoes and bat caves, but they were the bajao people who hosted us in their homes, fed us their delicious catch of the day, and welcomed us to their culture that made this experience memorable.

We traced the footsteps back to who we thought we were, only to find out that our old selves have departed, leaving a map with instructions as to how to get to the destination of our longing, the place we have always known deep within our hearts, for only our hearts guard the hidden doors to our souls, and so we follow willingly...
