Our feelings, integrated with ourselves so seamlessly is an obstacle to sound judgement that may lead us astray. If relied upon solely, it is terribly inadequate to guide us through the maze of finding right solutions to problems. Maintaining an objective approach while keeping those feelings at an arms distance is the key to making better decisions. Keeping values close to your heart and meditating on them before acting will avert serious contradictions from ravaging your life. by @heppeet

Carpe diem. A philosophical idiom in Latin insisting that one make much of one's time. If the accounts of our predecessors reveal anything worth mentioning, it is this. We all die, but not all of us lived to the fullest of our capacity to contribute, encourage, and love. Yesterday is a vanished vapor in the wind, and tomorrow's uncertainty is a fool's promise at best. Opportunity abounds only in the present, waiting to be taken advantage of. Time is of the essence. The mark we make in this life is the only testament we bare as proof to who we are, and who we honored and wish to make proud. by @heppeet

Be mindful of how you treat others. The damage they took and gave are seldom weighed on the same scale. Amplified is the tendency to internalize their pain while trivializing the hurt they gave. This biased practice is in the nature of all, for only we are attached to our own feelings. Sublime is the one who can consider this selfish way of being as a fault to deal in the matter objectively. by @heppeet

Believing in God makes you a better human being. Surrounded in insurmountable doubt that such a being can arise from the ashes of attrition, we deny His existence and often times His values He has so gently bestowed upon us. Perceptively outside the confines of faith we think we are free to do whatever we choose, when we are potentially confined worse in our disbelief. Those who consider this a stark reality sense the obligation to adhere to a higher set of principles, suspecting the surveillance and the following judgement thats been arranged to be in tandem with all of our hopes. by @heppeet

Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong. Only the strong may weather such storms standing morally astute, constantly balancing the logic of thus. The steepest battles one can fight are not external but internal ones, where your enemy is always present with you and equally equipped. Its the strong ones who realize the true enemy is not outside but inside, and who resist the urge to give in to the retaliation and the degradation involved in holding this grudge. In the face of no immediate advantage over this internal adversary, the weak ones look for lesser ways to satisfy the psyche and attain closure, while the strong take the road less traveled with reflection and consideration enough to find peace within themselves. He who conquers himself conquers all. by @heppeet

Mistakes are what makes a person genuine. Striving to make right what was once wrong is witnessing the breadth of the individual's remorse and humanity. Recognizing when this comes from the heart is the obligation of the offended to forgive. The fallen remain desolate yearning to walk again in grace, and without forgiveness he is doomed to wander in his shame and a shade that is perpetually boundless. by @heppeet

Perfection of character is an impossible illusion to portray indeed. Though the reality is an impossibility, the sentiment to be pointed in the right direction is still a worth while goal to aspire to. Especially in a world where most are terribly off the mark, it is up to the few who dare to be different to set the bar high so as to lead by example, making others look deeper, reach deeper within themselves to make this world a better place. by @heppeet

Sometimes solitude is the only prescription for advancement. Restrained by the distractions we call friends, our time and in some cases our resources get usurped by this factor in life. Yes, lonely we are without the comfort and support of those who wish us well but the trade off of productivity is well worth the sacrifice if surrounded by those who keep us down. For the fortunate who discern well, they are left with the precious few who enrich their lives with moral support and guidance. But the foolish who lacked such wisdom, we find ourselves reeling from bad decisions that lurk to haunt us in the present. by @heppeet

Compassion is a wonderful trait to pursue. The desire to help others in their time of need is essential to any good human being's repertoire. However, even this moral purity can become a toxic element to the bestower if left unchecked. When taken for granted, ones intent to serve can be reversed to a demand of the recipient to be served, denying the appreciation thats due to the giver. Being taken advantage of in this manner constitutes an exploit by way of manipulation on behalf of the recipient. Setting boundaries when sensing this to be an issue is paramount, not just to save oneself from neglect, but the friendship from turning into a one-sided agenda. by @heppeet

People mature, and can have a change of heart. The person we hated in the past may not be the same person now. Foolish we are to hold on to expired grudges that have no significant meaning in our lives. If that person has let go and forgiven themselves of past wrongs with sincere conviction and remorse, why must we hold on to that poison infecting our living? We are being unfair to ourselves with this pessimistic approach and disposition to our past. Time heals all wounds. Taking this into consideration and assuming the best in others we shed ourselves of spite and bitterness making way for grace to enter. by @heppeet

There'll be times when life strikes us to the ground and we dont feel like getting back up. When we acquiesce to the suggestion of defeat and the standards we set for ourselves have been notched down. In those inevitable times when the world tries to define our worth, it is imperative to remember that our true value lies not in other's opinions but in our own perception of how we view ourselves. When we let others control this critical narrative, we allow them to dictate far too much of our well being that is solely ours to claim. So it is not only our prerogative but our responsibility to preserve a level of dignity that sustains our self regard in the midst of injury. by @heppeet

Following God isnt always the popular choice. Sometimes its downright counter intuitive from what He plans and what we wish would happen. When encountering such a crossroad in life. When everything we know says its wrong but our faith demands that we still yield to the process, we must relinquish our immediate expectations and hold fast to His promise that He is a just God who honors compassion and mercy to His very core. The heart break and frustrations we experience when opposed to the way He moves is often the very reflection of His sentiments that He wishes to share with us, imparting us the necessary remorse to feel for our actions and the ramifications thereof. by @heppeet
