POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I have SO many new faces here, it felt fitting to reintroduce myself alongside the books that made me who I am today. I’m Heather Epure, a 90s baby aka Elder Emo aka Extroverted Introvert. I have become quite the homebody in my old age, but one thing has stayed true - I am a bookworm.

⁉️QOTD: What book(s) live rent free in your head ⁉️

Here are mine:

✨ ToG by @sarahjmaas - I am not unique, many share this series as the one that got them back into reading after some hiatus (2020 anyone?). What does make this unique for me is that I was in one of the darkest times of my adult life, and if Aelin could do it, so could I. She brought me back to life.

✨ Queens of Spells and Stone by @authorkaterinastevens - getting an ARC of this book late last year led to me creating my bookstagram which led to me starting @rattlethestarspr. Not only have I’ve known this author for 10 years, I just finished editing her 3rd book and I have found that I LOVE editing - and am actually good at it?! This series is infinity stars for and means so much to me.

✨Edgar Allen Poe - one of the first classic authors I fell in love with, thanks to my dad. He passed a year ago and I absolutely attribute my love of reading to him. He’d be so proud of my company and it’s hard that he’s not here to see it grow.

✨ The Wishing Game by @meg_shaffer - genuinely one of my favorite books of all time. Another FMC I relate to so strongly, and an absolutely heartwarming read.

✨Alice in Wonderland - because we’re all mad here and just trying to find our way in the world.

Yet again, @authorlindseymontgomery has smashed it out of the park (a poor attempt at an inside joke 😆)!

“Romancing in Rot” continues the Outbreak Response series with Leon and Clair’s story… and holy hell, it’s a good one. I went into this ARC read with high expectations and a need to be fully grossed out… and she did not disappoint, my friends.

There is something truly special how Lindsey Montgomery can create a perfect plot, amazing main and side characters that hold such depth, and action-packed scenes that cinematically play out in your mind—all while making you laugh AND cry. That ending though… book three can’t come soon enough!

She is, and will always be, a “will read anything she writes” author for me and continues to prove time and time again why.

The Outbreak Response series is an interconnected standalone zombie rom-com series that begins with “Dating in Decay.” You can find book one on #KindleUnlimited and many indie bookstores. “Romancing in Rot” is available NOW for pre-order and will be released on October 20th! All details can be found in @authorlindseymontgomery’s bio 🔗

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM 🧟‍♀️

My family knows not to bother me for the next day while I just roll on through what I know will be another masterpiece by @authorlindseymontgomery

If you haven’t read “Dating in Decay” what are you even doing?! Review for book 2 coming faster than you’d run away from a zombie attempting to make you their dinner

Hey, I’m alive 😆 I have been sorely neglecting my bookstagram in the lieu of @rattlethestarspr’s insane growth over the last 6 months but I promise I’ll be better.

In the meantime here’s an update:
- I still have no life
- I give black cat energy now more than ever
- Most of the reading I’m doing is in editing form (I have a few plans to rectify this)
- It’s giving fake fall in Ohio so yes, I’m sitting outside in the dark (working) AND enjoying a glass of wine on a Monday. Sue me.

Hehehe love me or hate me, I’m here to stay.

Anywho - catch me up! What is something awesome that has happened to you lately?! 🖤

Everyone wish our amazing @hepure_reads the happiest of birthdays!!

For those who are new or don’t know our story… Heather and I have known each other since high school. (Over 20 years. Wtfffff) It’s insane that 20 years later, we have been able to do this together. I’m forever grateful for our friendship and her insane devotion to this. She is truly one most hard working person I know. LOVE YA QUEEN. 🩷

(Swipe for a little throwback. 🤣)

🎃 HAPPY RELEASE DAY @authorlindseymontgomery! 🔪 You have done it again and released yet ANOTHER 5🌟book! What a tractor ride through a corn maze you just took me on—every twist and turn had me gasping along the way. I’m a little mad at you (you know what you did) but I also will literally read anything you put in front of me.

🪓 BLURB 🪓
“Valerie is done living the life her mom mapped out. Shaun’s football dreams ended with one bad tackle, and now he’s spiraling without a future. Both need a fresh start, and a day of farmhand work at Farmer Fred’s “Fantastic” Farm, home of Blandville’s Pumpkin Spice Festival, seems harmless enough.

Neither expects to come face-to-face with an old crush while they’re knee-deep in pumpkins and petty chores—let alone feel those sparks reignite. But just as Val and Shaun begin to find comfort, and maybe something more, in each other, Fred’s chemically enhanced fertilizer unleashes a nightmare. The pumpkins carve, the vines want blood, and the volunteers are first on the menu.

Now Val and Shaun must fight their way through one blood-soaked farm if they want to survive the night. Because in Blandville, KY…love might be the only thing strong enough to survive the smash.”
