So happy we chose to preserve Zoé-Lilou’s stem cells with @famicord_suisse at her birth. 🤍🧬

We decided to store her umbilical cord blood, cord tissue and placental tissue. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you have at the birth of your baby.

Cord blood stem cells are already used to treat more than 80 diseases, while other potential applications in regenerative medicine are still being researched and promise bright results in the future.

We chose @famicord_suisse because it is part of the international FamiCord Group, which has over 20 years of experience and has stored more than one million units across its European network.

The entire process was surprisingly easy: we planned everything with my doctor, completed the necessary blood tests before delivery and simply brought the collection kit to the hospital on the day of her birth. The medical team at @hirslanden_baby handled the rest, and all three samples have now been successfully and safely cryopreserved and stored (in Switzerland).

One of my favorite brands and items for our baby essentials has definitely become @najell_official. Our SleepCarrier vol. 5 is something we use every single day - at home, for naps and whenever we’re out and about.

I love that it’s so versatile: it works as a baby nest and carrycot, fits into our pram and opens up into a play mat. It’s become her familiar little space that we can simply take with us wherever we go.

Another favorite is the @najell_official ChangingPad. It’s soft and comfortable, super easy to wipe clean and has a little storage compartment to keep everything we need close by - one of those practical details you appreciate so much once you have a newborn baby.
