In about 2014 I built this custom vanity with all the shelves and wall Millwork. I just think it’s such a pretty piece. My high school friend Phil De Barros was a contractor at the time and he designed this bathroom and hired me to build it for his client. Phil was an awesome person and very talented contractor. And I was going through old photos and this project made me think of him. #vanity #bathroom #bathroomdesign #bathroomdesignideas #bathroomdesigns #bathrooms #bathroomdesignideas #bathroomdesign #bathroominspiration #bathroomshelves #bathroomgoals #bathroomideas #bathroomdecor #custom #custommade #custommillwork by @her_rough_hands

One of my favourite things to do is making a home cozy and beautiful. Your home is a creative canvas that you can design anyway you wish. I like a boho vibe and it makes for a cozy space.

My friend really likes my style and asked me to send her pics to inspire her on what to do with her place.

Custom Millwork is what I did full time when I owned my millwork company (Her Rough Hands). So it’s a big treat when I get to make a custom builtin in my space or in the space of one of my loved ones. (I built the few matching cabinets off my kitchen, the fireplace mantle, the front door closet, recapped the stairs and stained and Varathane them, the wainscotting up the stairs, the dinning table, the side tables, the kitchen island, the side towers beside the kitchen island……. I made all of that ☺️.

I love being able to imagination something and bring it to life. I know I don’t show a lot of posts of me and the building process. And that’s because when I get to borrow my friend Arthur’s space for millwork projects I work like a machine and just getter done. Those that work at the Woodshop know that I work my butt off to finish a piece quickly yo respect the fact I’m using someone else’s Woodshop. #interiordesigns #interiordecor #homesweethome🏡 #interiordesign #interiordesigninspiration

In these pics I’m about 22 years old and always building and creating. So if you think I just started woodworking that’s crazy talk. I even started it in highschool in grade 10 and I took construction technology aka Woodshop for 4 years. Even when I was about 9 years old my dad bought me a mini lathe from Canadian Tire. Then I attended Sheridan College for Furniture making and graduated it was a 3 year program.

The newspaper clip is from 2003 and I won the Mayors Award at Sheridan College to make an award for a business in Oakville. The design was inspired by the Curved Rocking Bench I designed and made at Sheridan College that same year. It toured the States and I made a crate for it to be shipped to Savannah Georgia where the art shows was starting its tour around the States for The Curv-iture Show.

Made some custom coaster for a friend’s baking business. She makes delicious sweet treats. Her company is @sheelabakedit. Especially since we are close to Christmas you may want to get some sweet treats for gifts or parties. It’s always feel great to support local small businesses when you can. @sheelabakedit #customcoasters #custommade #supportlocalbusinesses #supportlocal #giftideas by @her_rough_hands

Find time to do what you love in life and you’ll be happy! 😊😊😊#ilovewoodworking #woodworking #furnituremaker #oneofakindfurniture #woodworkerlife This beautiful coffee table I’m making out of love edge walnut that I picked up from @exoticwoodsinc and it’s for @betzpools by @her_rough_hands

Adding some handles to the tray I made. The handles are quite thin at the ends so it doesn’t allow for much clearance for the screw. So measure twice is always best. And line up the handle to confirm you marked the tray accurately. And a piece under the wood while you drill never hurts to protect your work surface. #handles #woodworking #woodworkingtips #diyproject #diyprojects by @her_rough_hands

Making a one of a kind coffee table out of beautiful live edge walnut that I got from @exoticwoodsinc . I poured epoxy down the centre and once it’s dry I will sand and cut it into three section. And cut mitres and fold it into a waterfall like structure. Thank you to @betzpools for letting me build a one of a kind furniture piece for you! It’s so great being able to design and build a piece that comes to life! #epoxyrivertable #furnituredesıgn #oneofakind #furnituremaker #furnituredesignermaker by @her_rough_hands

Woodworking takes discipline and that’s something I practice in all aspects of my life. I start each morning meditating, then walk the pups and then off to the gym. The gym allows me to be physically fit and strong and that helps with woodworking because some of the projects I build I quite heavy. In the Woodshop I’m always surprised at what muscles I use, I think it’s one of the big reasons that I’m overall healthy and fit. #gym #gymlife #gymmotıvatıon #gymworkout #gymlove by @her_rough_hands

Working on my waterfall river epoxy coffee table made from live edge walnut that I picked up @exoticwoodsinc Some beautiful pieces of walnut they have. Great selection.
