Some moments just become sweeter when you look back.
I really loved this moment.

Today’s not for throwbacks lol, but I kinda miss when I barbed my hair😂
It was such a refreshing moment, and I really loved the look.

So I’m posting it here, just so I can always come back and look at it. ☺️ by @her_tomiad

Nature understood the assignment💚🌿

The gospel is knowing that Someone you can completely trust is in control—and that Someone is Jesus.

I don’t have to know everything. I just have to trust Him.

Maybe you were never incapable of blooming.
Maybe you were just trying to bloom in a place that never gave you what you needed to grow.

A seed can be healthy and still struggle in poor soil.

Sometimes, you were trying to grow in conditions that were never conducive to your growth.

A plant can have life in it and still look withered when it isn't receiving enough light or water.

And similarly, a person can have gifts, potential, love, intelligence, creativity, faith, and a beautiful future ahead of them, and still not thrive in a particular environment.

That does not automatically mean they are deficient.

Sometimes, you were surviving, not failing.

You cannot evaluate yourself fairly without considering the environment you were trying to survive in.

Sometimes, what looked like laziness was exhaustion.

What looked like lack of confidence was fear.

What looked like passivity was self-protection.

What looked like being behind was simply a person trying to find solid ground.

That doesn't mean we should avoid responsibility or romanticise unhealthy seasons.

It means self-awareness should produce compassion, not endless self-condemnation.

Acknowledge the environment.

Grieve what it cost you.

Learn what you need to learn.

And ask:

“Now that I have access to light, what can I become?”

That's where healing becomes powerful. by @her_tomiad

Learn to desire what God has promised without losing sight of the One who promised it.

Before the things He may do through a life, there is Him.

Before the promise, there is the Promiser.

And may the pursuit of everything God has promised never become greater than the desire to know and follow Him. by @her_tomiad
