Erik almost didn’t make it through his vows… and the entire room was silently cheering him on. This is why we remind you: the best moments aren’t the polished ones. They’re the real ones. The kind of moment you can’t stage. You just feel. The shaky hands.
The cracked voice.
The “okay wait give me a second” pauses. That’s the good stuff 🤍 We’ve filmed hundreds of weddings, and we’ll always protect and honor moments like this. If you’re the kind of couple who cares more about feeling it than being perfect — we’re your people. AS SEEN ON THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON!!! My new tagline. I think you can see me deejaying, yeah? Anyways… @nbc called, and I answered. Shouts to Baker, Seth and the whole @fallontonight team for making me feel at home. Shouts to @jimmyfallon for an absolutely incredible energy that washed away whatever worry I had about how things would work out. Shouts to @theweeknd for being so damn sweet, super talented and really real. Shouts to @firstliveus for holding down the tech and keeping it together. (I don’t know what I would’ve done without you. And while we’re on the topic of tech. shouts to @opmiller1 and the @serato team for making sure my software was updated. Lol.) Shouts to @fordhamuniversity and the graduates for showing me so much love. And @insomniacookies for some bomb Snickerdoodles. And last but not least, my magical wife, for going back and forth and back and forth with equipment. The best—and hottest—road manager any deejay could have. Last night at @lprnyc #LiveAtLPR. Of course my overly critical, self-flagellating ass just sees that one girl on her phone. (And I guess now you see it, too. I’m so good at this!!!) . I truly suck at recording my private-event dance floors. I miss most of the super-awesome moments. And the ones I catch have bad lighting and weird angles. And I’m too busy for post editing. Whatever that even is. But I’m NASTY in the mix, so holler at DJ Gen X today. The calendar is filling up for 2027 and 2028 as we type. by @herbertholler
