Happy 9th birthday, McFly! 🐾🎂🥂

I feel like this past year is the first time I’ve really started to notice him getting older. It’s been an amazing year filled with countless adventures together, but also a year where we knew something wasn’t quite right and spent a while searching for answers. Eventually, that led to his Cushing’s diagnosis.

He’s responded so well to his medication, and I’m so hopeful that this next year will bring him even more comfort and good days. ❤️

I hate that he’s getting older and that “things” are starting to happen, but we’ll keep making the most of every adventure and having as much fun as we possibly can for however long we’re lucky enough to have together.

Side note: I actually prefer pens with only vertical slats, but the second i brought him home he walked straight through it🤣 so until he’s bigger we will use a regular x pen. Good thing he’s not a climber…yet by @herdnpaws

What supplements do you add to your dog’s diet?

@thrive_supplements was kind enough to send us two of their supplements, FLEX and FLOW! 🐾

Rodeo and McFly love an active lifestyle full of hiking, training, and dog sports, so keeping them healthy from the inside out is always a top priority.

We’ve been using FLEX for the past few months to support their joint health, and it’s become an easy addition to their daily routine to help keep them feeling their best.

We were also excited to add FLOW for digestive support. Rodeo has always had a bit of a sensitive stomach (he likes to serve up “soft serve” 💩), so I was curious to see if it would make a difference. After adding FLOW to his routine, I noticed an improvement in both his gut health and stool consistency. We’re finally seeing nice, formed stools!

Out here chasing waterfalls 🏔️ I’ve always loved waterfalls, and i wish we had more hikes here in alberta with them, but that just means we have to explore even more to find them! Are there many waterfalls where you live? by @herdnpaws

I do apologize for not posting the last couple weeks. My attention had been on Rodeo’s recovery from his neuter. I’m happy to say he’s back to normal now! Truly, i’m so proud of how well he handled super restricted activity, he was SO good. As you can imagine, he was sure happy to get the go ahead to rip around again! We’ve had some days off and did some much needed summer exploring ☀️ 🌲 by @herdnpaws
