Overdose deaths may be going down nationally, but DOWN doesn’t mean DONE. And headlines don’t always tell the whole story about what’s happening in Black communities, actually they try to water it down.

Carry naloxone. Learn how to use it. Teach somebody else. 🖤

Black lives include Black people who use drugs. DASSIT, that’s the line. BAI.

Someone just tried to smoothly walk in my house & my GSD @benjie_thewhiteshepherd saved me.
Having a #GSD or any type of high energy dog is not for the weak. But this is why proper and continuous training is so important. Benjie is a working and task trained dog & today he, once again, showed how all those hours we put in daily is worth it.
Maybe l’I start posting more of his trainings on his page, incase this helps anyone out there.

It all starts and ends when Black people are centered. When we get access to the resources, when we are the primary target and not an afterthought.

Reaching people who have been harmed by traditional systems still need support and care is essential to reducing overdose rates. That is where harm reduction advocates come in. These harm reduction advocates see firsthand how people seek help, don’t get it, and feel like they have no where else to go. Thankfully harm reduction advocates in New Jersey have created system of care and support for people who have been made to feel they aren’t worthy of care.

Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them & filling an emptiness we didn’t ever know we had.

My boys save my life everyday. It’s been hard to breathe most days but I find peace with these 2. by @hereisbre
