I met Ishaan, a 15 year old, wearing a Barcelona shirt ahead of the India vs Brazil Match. Curious, I went upto him - fully expecting him to pledge his allegiance for Raphinha’s Brazil.

However, to my absolute surprise - he claimed that even though Brazil were his favorite, he would always be rooting for India no matter who they played against. Because at the end of the day, he was a proud Indian.

And I know there are a thousands of Ishaan all over the country who still have hope in our national team, and who still dream to see India play in the World Cup someday ❤️

I’ve been watching @leomessi play football for almost 20 years.

I grew up with Messi. I watched the goals, the heartbreaks, the comebacks, the impossible nights - and somewhere along the way, watching him became part of growing up for me.

So maybe I’m not ready for this goodbye.

Coming with this video because I needed to find a voice for the absolute agony I faced from the best seats of the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Stadium in the India vs Uruguay match.

From being almost giddy with excitement after the performance against Brazil, I had huge hopes from today’s match. But after being thrashed 6-1, all my hopes for Indian football have turned into a heartbreak.

The First Episode of my “People in Football Matches” series - a multiple part video series where I capture moments in the Football Stadium.

Had to start with two of my besties ofcourse. @littlebitofskadoosh and I have been best friends for 15 years now, and Brazil vs India was the first stadium moment for @rosh_niii123 .

And while we have all seen and heard women getting asked about the Offside Rule by men, the glorious king that my best friend is - he decided to EXPLAIN it to her instead.
