Follow the sequence here: The war —> keeps pressure on oil —> oil keeps pressure on inflation —> inflation keeps pressure on the Fed to keep rates steady or raise them to combat inflation —> higher rates puts pressure on the consumer.

The missing link in this flow chart would be — this ALL puts pressure on the stock markets. But that hasn’t happened yet, largely due to AI.

We are watching this.

Career advice from an unlikely spot: The Jackson Hole Playhouse.

I was a Managing Director at JPMorgan before I turned 33.

The sleeper carreer advice no one gives you is that cheering from the bottom of your heart for others and elevating — even more than yourself — does more good, for you, inadvertently than you can ever imagine.

If all else fails, it is still a joyful and fulfilling way to live.

Lastly, with all the money you are about to make in your career, get yourself to Jackson Hole to see Camelot at the Playhouse. I was blown away.

How is the consumer - aka - all of us doing right now?

This is really important because the consumer makes up 2/3rds of our GDP.

They are a really important piece of the proverbial puzzle.

On my to do list is to learn how to talk without closing my eyes for 7 seconds when I think.
