POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
✨ We just wrapped up the HETP program and wow — what a journey.
We’re feeling so full, inspired, and ready.

Over the past few months, we’ve been guided by incredible industry-level coaches who’ve helped us sharpen our vision, stretch our mindset, and step into this next chapter of Hermanitas Design with intention.

💡 We didn’t just learn — we evolved.

This experience has pushed us to look at what we really do:
We’re not just creating pretty graphics — we’re building brands, stories, and strategies that reflect our cultura and move communities.

A soft rebrand is coming 👀
A fresh focus is coming 🔥
And we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

Gracias to everyone who’s been on this ride with us so far — let’s keep growing 💛

👋🏻Hola, we’re here to reintroduce Hermanitas Design!
We’re Iris and Rosalinda, two Latina sisters building something special: a brand that blends artistry, strategy, and cultura.
Most people think we’re twins — but fun fact: we’re actually four years apart. Rosa’s the taller one, and Iris is the one usually dressed in more color. 🌈

We started Hermanitas Design to craft culture-forward branding, visuals, and handmade goods with intention. What began as a passion has grown into a full creative studio — and part of this soft rebrand is to proudly reintroduce ourselves.

We’re no longer “just artists.”
We are confident business owners who’ve worked hard on our craft, and on our mental health to take up space in places we don’t often see people like us. And we’re just getting started.

🌼 What We Offer

Our work is rooted in comunidad, cultura, and mucho mucho amor.
We offer three branches of service:

🎨 Design Services for businesses — branding, visuals, and strategy
🖐🏽 Handmade Products that celebrate Latinx heritage & nostalgia
🫶🏽 Workshops & Events that spark healing, storytelling, and joy

We’re not just artists. We’re storytellers, brand strategists, and community builders.
Gracias for being on this journey with us, we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

☕🎨 Introducing HECHO CON HERMANITAS!

We’re so excited to finally share something new we’ve been working on. Hecho con Hermanitas is our new workshop series where we’ll get together, make things with our hands, celebrate cultura, and of course have a little cafecito and chisme along the way.

And we’re kicking it off with Paint Your Own Cafetera at @cortaditoscoffee in Union City!

La greca is more than a coffee maker. It’s morning cafecito, family around the table, traditions passed down, and all those little moments that feel like home. So naturally, we had to make her our first workshop. ❤️

📅 October 11 at 5PM
📍 Cortaditos, Union City
☕ Early Bird: $80, first 10 spots
🎨 Regular: $90

Spots are limited! Comment “CAFECITO” or just drop a ☕ and we’ll send you the link to grab your spot.

Here’s to making things together, con nuestras manos y con mucho amor.

Up next is The Waterfront Project ✨

The Waterfront Project is doing important work right here in Hudson County, providing free legal services and helping residents navigate housing, tenant rights, financial stability, and other challenges that can feel impossible to figure out alone.

We love having organizations like this at our Mercaditos because community is also about making sure our neighbors know what resources are available to them and where they can turn when they need support.

So grateful to have The Waterfront Project join us and share a little about themselves, their culture, and the work they’re doing for our community.

Up next is Glo by Gloria ✨

Gloria’s energy is MAGNETIC. She’s always bringing the best mood, the best energy, and that kind of joy you can’t help but feel when she’s around.

When we asked what she loves about her culture, she talked about the dancing, the sazón, and that special something we carry with us wherever we go.

And all we have to say is… ¡AZÚCAAAARRRR! 💃🏽✨

Thank you, Gloria, for always bringing that beautiful energy to our Mercaditos and reminding us that our culture lives in the way we move, celebrate, gather, and bring joy to each other.

Next up is Talia from @thingznthangz 🤎 A potter, educator right here in Hudson County, and someone who brings so much heart into everything she creates.

We asked Talia what she loves about being Latina, and we loved hearing her put into words the pride, culture, and community that comes with it.

And then, right at the end of the interview, she asked us, “Can I say fuck ICE?”

And to that we say… mamita, you can SCREAM it with all the rage it deserves.

This is exactly why we wanted to make these interviews. To celebrate who we are, where we come from, what we create, and to make space for our community to speak loudly and unapologetically.

Community is resistance. ❤️ taken in Hudson County by @hermanitasdesign

Next up, Maya from @doodles.by.noff + Daniel. 💛

We look at Maya the same way she looks at Daniel 😂

Maya is an incredible illustrator, community member, and just one of those people whose words stay with you. We loved their answers so much, especially the reminder to keep questioning, creating, and using our voices.

And we really hope the generations that follow us are troublemakers too. The kind who question everything, challenge what doesn’t feel right, and aren’t afraid to make a little noise along the way.

May we keep raising generations that ask WHY. ✊🏽✨

Mucho mucho amor to Maya + Daniel for sharing their words with us. ❤️ taken in Hudson County by @hermanitasdesign

Next up in our Hispanic Heritage Mercadito interviews is @atabey_candle_co ✨

And listen… we don’t leave ANYWHERE without her negative energy spray. 😂 Before the tables are set, before the music starts, before the people come through… we spray it down, por favor.

Atabey brings that ancestral energy, intention and protection into our Mercaditos, and we love having her be part of this comunidad.

These interviews are our little way of celebrating the people, traditions, stories and energy that make our community what it is. Mucho mucho amor. 💛 taken in Hudson County by @hermanitasdesign

Next up is @pilarte_jewelry 🇩🇴✨

We asked her what are the little things that instantly transport her back home to the Dominican Republic, and her answer was all about the things that hit the senses: certain foods, certain songs, and those familiar sounds and flavors that can make you feel like you’re home again, no matter where you are.

We loved this one because sometimes home isn’t a place you have to physically be. Sometimes all it takes is one bite or the right song and suddenly you’re right back there. ❤️

That’s the beauty of carrying our culture with us wherever we go.

Mucho mucho amor,
Iris + Rosa

Next up is @blossom_littlereaders 📚🌸

We love having vendors who remind us just how important it is for our little ones to see themselves, their families, and their culture reflected in the stories they grow up with.

Blossom Little Readers brings books, learning, and representation into our comunidad, and we loved hearing their answer during our Hispanic Heritage interviews.

Because passing down our culture doesn’t only happen through food, music, and traditions. It happens through the stories we tell our niños too. ❤️

Mucho mucho amor,

Next up is Tarot Man 🔮✨

Bringing a little magic, intuition, and good energy to our Mercaditos. We love that every vendor brings a different piece of themselves, their culture, and their story into this community.

We asked Tarot Man the same questions we’ve been asking our comunidad for Hispanic Heritage Month, because there are so many different ways we carry where we come from with us.

This is why we wanted to do these interviews. To hear each other, celebrate each other, and remind everyone that our stories deserve to take up space.

Mucho mucho amor,
Iris + Rosa
