Part 1 of shots I took during my Bangkok trip on Kodak Vision3 250D (Reflx Lab). I found it very hard to shoot low-light/night photography using this stock but it's probably just me or my camera's problem (I prolly just suck). The fine grain + color performance of this stock is just out of this world, as expected of cinema film. by @hermen_lee

Part 2! I hate Instagram for cropping my "beautifully framed" portraits. I guess daylight film really is suitable for daylight photography. Next step, 400/500 iso, and maybe something more manual for a change 😉 (I'm totally going broke doing this as a hobby) by @hermen_lee

Japan pt.3 🇯🇵

This is shot on a Fujifilm C100, a roll I bought in the 世界の中古カメラ市 exhibition in Ginza after finishing my Ilford. This roll of Fuji has the actual "Fuji" tone unlike the Kodak repacks. 100 ISO is hard to shoot tho.

P.s. there are some Malaysia pics inside as well. Couldn't finish the whole roll there lol. by @hermen_lee

Japan pt.2 🇯🇵

Some more vintage toanz.

The ilfocolor gives off a very "1980s film" style, muted warm tones, selective saturation, and lower contrast, differing from standard consumer films. I should pay more attention when metering and advancing my next roll to better demonstrate it's colors. :( by @hermen_lee

Japan pt.1 🇯🇵

Here are some portrait shots from Ilford Ilfocolor 400 plus vintage tone. It was theorized that this film is based on the Orwo Wolfen NC500, which I can defo see the similarities.

I might've over-advanced the film during shooting, which would explain the slight light leak(?). Overall I like the film, but that's because the tonality of the film fits the theme/location I'm shooting. taken in 豪徳寺 Gōtokuji Temple by @hermen_lee

A quarter of our way thru the 21st century. A lot has happened this year. I studied, graduated, travelled, worked, overall a very eventful year.

This year, I completed my Masters degree, officially ending one chapter of my life. Shoutout to my study group for always studying with me, without y'all, I wouldn't have made it.

After graduation, I've also picked up a little bit of pickleball. People say that it's just a recreational sport for old uncs and aunts but it has pushed me out of my comfort zone to be more social, playing with strangers and getting to know them, while having fun and a good sweat.

Then, I was blessed enough to be given an opportunity to travel to different countries. I went to Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan. Interacted with some interesting people, learned their culture, and enjoyed some really good food. Japan was the most memorable trip for me as this is my first ever trip to somewhere with my friends, and we did a lot of stupid/funny stuff together (stupid financial decisions too). Thank you for making this trip memorable.

On the final quarter of the year, I've officially stepped into the working society. It was a very daunting process, but having kind and wonderful colleagues made the process much more enjoyable.

Thank you 2025 for being so full of memories. Here's to 2026 being the same or better.

*Shoutout to Maxy the cat for keeping me positive in Tetris 💕🐈 by @hermen_lee

Pt-3 Landscapes of Ba Na.

I knew bringing half a roll to Vietnam was a bad decision, but I still did it anyways (I'm never trusting my sister again). Had to buy Kodak Colorplus there cuz that's the only color film left on the shelf. I had to spend around RM76 for a roll of colorplus which is insane, but I had to cuz I wanted to take pictures at Ba Na. I would've never expected that my most expensive film purchase so far would be a Colorplus. To me, Colorplus is just an older, cheaper and grainier Gold. Similar results to the Fuji 200 I shot ages ago which is expected but the vibes definitely match the location, especially the golden statues.

Not the biggest fan of Kodak's tone (I still like it ) but maybe my opinion will change upon trying Portra or Ektarchrome 🤷‍♂️ by @hermen_lee
