Imagine my delight when I was sent pictures of my book being read on actual @hermisland right now!

These were kindly sent in by someone living their best life staying on Herm this week and they have absolutely made my year. That’s Shell Beach Cafe right there that is!

The amazing @vanessakimbell taught me that bread isn’t just bread: it’s connection to the people you share it with, to the land and for me, it’s also connection to my relationship with special places. This week’s birthday bakes manifested exactly that.

My Belvoir botanical blend flour is enriched with foraged botanicals from @hermisland, one of my favourite places on earth, and was a complete joy to make and eat.

Quite aside from the fact that baking this way promotes awesome gut biodiversity (20+ plants in every slice of bread!), it’s a gorgeous way of celebrating a time and place. In this case, June at a Belvoir bay. 🙌

Today I create an equally special blend for my wedding couple clients this weekend, using herbs and florals from Stiffkey to bring the bride’s Norfolk home to a Somerset table. How magical is that?
